Warning!! Have tissues on hand!!!! This drama is worth the watch! It's very different from the others I've seen, no time travel/rebirth and revenge going on -- it focuses on human trafficking of women in rural areas, families putting worth on boys over girls, and the ML raising a son not his own. I really liked how this drama was done and how the story was laid out, simplistic focused on ML/FL meeting and getting togther with the son around. The son is handled pretty well too, he stays the entire time and is part of the story -- he doesn't just randomly disappear like in some cdramas. Sister Li was an amazing character and I wish we saw more like her.

Really good 80's drama, no time travel just rural life. Definitely a tear jerker . With a solemn and complete ending...on to the next!!!

这部剧把很多感情都刻画的很棒，男主与小孩的父子情，街坊邻居的互助情，男主与女主的爱情。虽然是悲剧收场但不可否认这是一部很温馨的剧。

I can't believe I have seen this beautiful drama, it's too hard for living alone without your loved one, she is really great wife and mother. His love makes her strong for 30 years ❤but it's really painful 😢😢😢

10 out 10 drama, very, very recommended Drama setting is in 1993, no reborn, no rich protagonists, just normal people living their lives the best their can (in a village on top of/near the mountain). Spoiler alert!! - We need more character like Li jie in every drama. If other dramas give me 2ndML syndrome, then I say Li jie is giving me 2ndFL syndrom. - I won't comment about whether the schizophrenia depiction in here is accurate or not, but it is surprising to have a character being officially diagnosed in these short dramas, even more so that (1) the setting is in 1993, and (2) no one from the future was reborn here. I'm kinda... impressed? - Lastly, I love angst. A sucker for it, even. And this drama has a good, very good, solid ending. But I was hoping for a happy ending for this one 😭😭

I feel this story because the author took human traffic and also who the hero spend the time with the child is not his own and i like the village atmosphere is very perfect drama so nice i will appreciate the whole team ilike their hardwork ❤❤❤❤❤

Well, I like this story, finally there is a story that comes out of the life of a rich person. Even though it is a bit sad, this story is more related to the reality, not all happiness is obtained with money. Also, even though FL looks weak, in reality many women still lack self-confidence and are still too dependent on other people.

2/10 BE WARNED your heart will be ripped out lol Not a happy ending! Started out good, as a classic 80s drama but no time travel. A village girl is almost trafficked but saved by a handsome man and he pays the traffickers and lets her stay with him and his son until she can find a way home only her boyfriend is a creep and dumps her for cheating only after admitting he cheated on her then discovers her own mother sold her and decides to stay with the man as they realize they have fallen in love but then the bio mom shows up and it is revealed the kid is not his but bio mom abandoned her kid on his door step and he could turn him away. The bio mom ends up being a shyco and only wanted him in hopes bio dad would dump his wife but when it doesn't work she goes crazy and tried to kill village girl but is saved as the sister in law saves them dyeing. Then she confessed she loved ml and had me hella confused as i assumed they were related anyways the son has narrated random parts of the drama throughout and the SPOILER the dad dies and mom is devastated and when her son gets old she goes to his grave and dies!!!!!! like they where just about to finaly get mairred and he gets ran over by a truck like what the actual frick????
