Bravo........u should be more famous.........great job...........using a auto transformer configuration ......does the split phase 240v or 2 chanels of 120v are in phase with each other.........I need one phase 180 degree out from other phase.......like u.s. grid power system ...... cheers

Question: I am receiving a transformer 3P with 2 secundaries 12.47 Primary and 480/277 and 415/240, my location needs both and I design this to fullfill the requierement, now the company said it is one primary or the other, if part of my location is using 480 including panels and transformers to reduce to 240/120, is possible to connect my 480 transformers primary with 415 V and expect to keep going working in the same way. Please advise, thanks for your help

Question: Why are the H2 and H3 lines drawn crossed? Why are the X2 and X3 lines drawn crossed? I see that on the ones at work all the time too. Also, if you power only ONE H1 and H2 with 240VAC, could you use H3 and H4 to get 240 VAC? But at 2.08 Amps? If X1 and X2 are powered by 120VAC, can you use X3 and X4 for 120 VAC as well as the H windings ?

Regarding why terminals are shown crossed, it has to be with how they are disposed for physical connection, just like how the terminal box is disposed in motors. This is a guess though, cause I have worked with motors but not with transformers. Now, regarding what you said about just using a half winding as a primary, you got it right, according to theory, you could even use only one winding as a primary with three secondaries available, and as long as you stay withing the power rating, it should work without a problem. Just for clarification, I am referring just to the theory behind transformers, could it be that a real world design doesn't allow to do such a use, due to other kind of constrains.
