Multifocal atrial tachycardia is an atrial arrhythmia that occurs when the natural cardiac pacemaker site shifts between different ectopic atrial foci leading to multiple p-wave morphologies seen on an electrocardiogram. It differs from a wandering atrial pacemaker rhythm only in its heart rate.
