Just before 10:46 PM, the City of Albany’s Fire Department began to take multiple calls for a commercial structure fire at the dispatch center for the area of 193 Broadway. Engine two arrived on scene and had heavy fire showing from a large multi story commercial structure at 20 Learners Street. Firefighters deployed multiple master streams and hand line in the front of the building, all firefighters in the rear and side yards of the building began to go into master stream operations from the truck companies on scene.
Firefighters continued to battle the fire until the early hours in the morning. No injuries have been reported and the fire is under investigation at this time. This is one of multiple fires that have occurred on this street in commercial structures in the past couple of months.
