Wild guess, but damage ball is single model and is hit once by the web, meanwhile vechicles are made from many parts, most of wich are several pieces wide/long, so damage is counted many, MANY times, not just once. The elemental puddle throwers have low damage too, but it skyrockets on enemies with a lot of parts. Lighting rod shoota deals close to none damage to single part, but against large builds it easly deals over 1k

I think this is true but for some reason the morta also stops on the damage sphere probably because there is terrain under what takes damage

Also curious why the damage meter and the catalina display/stack a lot more damage than actually dealt. When morta was released you could get a Catalina stack from clipping maybe 300 damage worth of parts. I am not sure if that is fixed yet. Something is wrong, making the game (damage meter and Catalina, not the damage ball) somehow see a far larger damage number than actually dealt

1st build I would call Huntsman Spider as they throw webs at their prey, this looks kinda that way. Bird Eater tarantulas are cool too, like all spiders.

A theory that another creator had when testing the mortar was that it would tick dmg at intervals as it passes through the build, dealing more dmg to longer parts(or parts placed horizontally) For instance, it would deal more dmg to a flat or horizontal Apollo as compared to less dmg to an Apollo placed vertically. That's not a theory, this is exactly how it works according to a lead dev during the pre-launch stream. It deals damage on every server tick. I'm pretty sure tho that it has hidden damage penalty against gens, fuel barrels and ammo racks - takes a lot of shots to explode them usually

Dont forget that morta's projectiles can block enemy shots. That typhoon guy did not miss, just had hit your shield shot, also the retcher guy in 17min queue game probably had shot himself hitting the field projectile

JB morta is similar to acari. It damages every part a lil bit it goes through. So dmage counter shows 71 but if you hit 10 parts those dont have any resistance like bumpers it deals 710 damage already

That spider build is so cool looking. Hard to play as a bot with a co driver. Lol and I dont think I have ever seen a bot with a damage counter before. 😂

I'm guessing the damage sphere just records the initial damage to a single piece of the build, That's why when it goes through an entire build it multiplies like 10 fold.

NA EU RU servers is different crossout, better loading times, better builds, high PS always active on EU and RU

It does a fixed amount of damage per pin penetrated. Theoretically it can pass through an entire enemy team

I believe the damage meter only accounts for the surface level pin being damaged

This match (last one) had me so frustrated bc I didn't have the speed, health or cloak to push the hover so hiding was the better plan but then Jb tried capping, a grave tactical mistake.

Fun fact the “bird eater” is a tarantula and here in Africa a long time ago tribes used its fangs as tooth picks and this spider is 12cm wide

Damage dealt on vehicle TOTAL durability show WHITE color. Damage dealt on cabin durability show YELLOW color. How can you run a channel and not know about this?
