Yup…just fish eating fish and anything that a fish can eat. You’re the food sprinkled on top of the water in your fish tank.

It’s not that unusual anymore. I wish that they would quit saying that it’s very rare that people get attacked by sharks. It happens more and more each year.

With a total of16 shark attacks in Florida in 2023, out of millions of people who swam in the ocean here makes shark attacks pretty rare.

@AFloridaSon the odds are steadily increasing. That should be a concern for swimmers..never know when it's gonna be your turn. I bet the one who recently got bit didn't think it would happen to them. Never know...

We left PCB Friday, there was bait fish surfacing by the thousands around us. We seen some stingrays shortly after, but left the water thinking there may be something else chasing the fish

I am a diver and see sharks on a regular basis. I’ve never had an aggressive in-counter with a shark. I’m not going to say my next dive I won’t. Sharks are not aggressive and in dark water it’s probably mistaken for food.

Okay let me tell the story I was in Walton County near Seacrest Beach the flag colors that day were yellow and purple Yellow meaning moderate ocean conditions And Purple meaning dangerous marine life(not including extremely dangerous predators) At the beach on Friday me and my family saw tons of large fish a little over the San Bar(pretty unusual) At first we didn’t think of anything At one o clock we went to eat lunch and we stayed in our house for about 3 hours while my cousins went back down Suddenly we were reported by my aunt that the beach flags our double red (Double red flags mean water closed to public) We were shocked when we heard about a shark attack! After asking tons of questions We a lifeguard informed that the large fish we saw was part of a bull sharks diet We put the pieces together and realized that the shark was trying to find its prey So if you ever see large big fish I would probably stay out of the water and warn a lifeguard Hope this makes sense and sorry for long writing

1) Can air and sea drones please be set up to help secure beaches near designated booths attended by life-guards (for viewing drone- cameras on multiple live- stream screens & to operate in-booth drone controls)? ~~~ ALSO ~~ 2) Integrate regulations related to DREDGING (replenishing eroded beach sand), to insure that increased shark access & bait-fish attraction isn't accidentally created where and when swimmers will be nearby!!! ~~~~~~~ Ocean swimming isn't just important to the tourism industry, but also to the health & pleasure of local populations. 🏊
