Multiplex Fox glider power conversion to wingeron

This is my Multiplex Fox glider that was converted to wingeron control. The motor is a 10 gram brushless motor & the battery is a 2 cell 300 Mah Li-Po. The wingeron movement is accomplished with two servos and the magic mixing of a DX-7 radio. iIt has spectacular vertical performance, the only problem so far is that it won't slow down to land.

Hi. I have bought one of these and am thinking of converting it to a plane rather than a glider - they're good fun!!!

That's really cool! A minor problem at 60-70 grams;-) Well done, very impressive what can be done with less than 250 grams. Seems like creating some drag by adding a 4th channel and using the tail for "flaps" is the next step. Seems like with the right mix you could get that to almost stop in the air under power. This will be a new trend in RC I would suspect... lot's of work but cheap and lots to learn.

@1951rtc Its kinda hard to see, but there is a little tiny rubber band that goes through the fuselage and wraps the music wire that spans from the servo arm to the wing.

@sheilstar12 They both have advantages with wingerons you don't have to goof with the elevator, but wingerons are more sensitive.

Nice setup - wingerons are very cool! And they look very efficient. Just wondering how you'd hold that together with a larger plane.
