After the first time my sister and I heard this song, we nicknamed my little brother "Little Lion Man". He passed away 5 years ago at 24, this song will forever make me cry like a little kid. Like Alannis Morissette said... "How bout unabashedly bawling your eyes out'

So sorry to hear this. Know he’s never actually too far away. Energy can physically never cease to exist. He is alive and well on another plane of existence. I pray you find peace and comfort and an understanding with wisdom and time one day that softens the scars on your heart, you wear like battle scars with pride and honor until you meet that little lion man on the other side one day ❤❤❤

Mr. Man Hahaha that reminds me of a story. I was kind of seeing this girl while I was in the Army. She was a total babe and she knew it. There were no females in my battery but we still had a few in close proximity. Anyways we’re being told about how we need to police ourselves at the lowest level and blah blah blah... basically the army version of “I’m not mad this time, just disappointed.” Mid scolding she walks by and I’m my best Slingblade voice I said “dang, girl, lemme butta yo biscuit” and she laughed so hard she snorted as did a few guys standing next to me. It was worth counting 240 links.

This song brings to me one of the sweetest memories. Ten years ago, I spent a weekend with one of my closest friends before he left for basic training and he played this song over and over. After he left, I never saw him again. Last I knew, he’s happily married to his husband and living in London somewhere but that was a while and I have no clue where he is now. While it’s true that life took us on different courses and away from eachother, it gave us this. We were young and free. I’ll never forget it.

When I hear this song I can't help but think of a story of a man and a woman being wonderfully in love but then the issues and mistrust start to form, that's when the song starts. They fight and fight and break up eventually. The man is so self deprecating, he is beating himself up over ruining the best thing he's had in his life. He has to win her back. He is determined. He starts running, and he doesn't stop. He runs and trembles through traffic, trying to reach his girlfriends house. He is ready to win her back, he jumps over her fence and runs into the house. He is sweating and panting. He is so happy, he is going to make things right. He truly loves this woman. He calls out her name, but to no response. He runs into the bathroom. And finds her dead, and that she has taken her own life. He breaks down, the music slows to the ending hes wailing "It was not your fault but mine, and it was your heart on the line, I really fucked it up this time. Didn't I my dear? Didn't I my.... dear..." That's just the story I see in my head when I hear this song. It's a tragedy.

I listen to this song when I fuck up. And my grandest fuck up was a girl named Chastity. Every thing basically you said except the suicide. Instead when I climbed the metaphorical fence, it was another guy there and her being happy with him, instead of me and my self destructive behaviour. . .

We (real musicians) have been around all along but you listeners are unable to tell the difference between an artist who's using perfect ears and an artist who's using autotune. Meanwhile, the only musicians who get signed by record labels are: * Talentless cover artists. (Nowadays, the record label signs singers to create cover songs from the tunes that the record label already owns - cheaper production, especially if the new artists can be convinced to be paid less. "This is the opportunity of your lifetime!!! We can't pay you much but we offer you a great platform to start your journey towards fame & fortune!!") * Simps (anyone who speaks out against the feminazism is deplatformed) * 0 opinions (anybody challenging the status quo is an enemy of the state) Restricted creative minds will rarely reach full potential. ...and you wonder why music is dead? ;D Thing is, you listeners are not demanding more.. None of you are complaining to the record labels. The turntables turn! Ironically, I started writing songs around 2006, waaaay before your comment. All these years later, I am still writing songs and I refuse to upload my tracks on Spotify because they want to charge me money for uploading my songs. The music industry is 100% rigged.

My aunt recently died and my grandma wanted her old car... About 7 months passed and my grandma got the car and we went for a ride, and we found this song on a CD that was in the player. My grandma and I sang in the car and a song has never made me feel more than this one song. This is my favorite song.

To be honest i was drawn to this song because it had the courage to say "fucked" which is usally only heard in rap, but i have to say the way they used it gave it poetic meaning and i could totally relate to their lyrics because when you understand what the song is about it truly is beautiful in its own way.

Guitarist Louie that's actually the version I first heard this song as. Song kid sang it at a concert last year for my school. He sang it with three vocal percussionists. It was really good so I looked it up and I found this version. They both have the same effect honestly.

Even though I wouldn't really know what happened in their marriage. This song is what I relate to when all I get from my Dad is a phone call a year and with that phone call it's come to the point where I'm not sure what to say and how to relate to him anyway, he's just become a stranger in my eyes and heart 😓

This song grabs the deepest emotions that I have been shoving down for an entire year. I lost someone that I love forever because I fucked up big time. She is now happy with another guy. I sympathize with others who have felt the same. But we can take this as a lard learned lesson. If you ever read this. I'm so sorry again little. I love you.

+Collin Robisheaux Nah, he's right. Rap is absolute garbage. A very small minority of rap/hip hop songs don't talk about money, their gangs, killing people, bitches, and other stupid shit... that's how you know the genre is awful. Anybody who defends that trash is literally braindead. It's not called being ignorant.

Hi Beautiful Person! 🌈 Here are the Lyrics (i copied them off google don't tell anyone): (guitar playing) Weep for yourself, my man, You'll never be what is in your heart Weep little lion man, You're not as brave as you were at the start Rate yourself and rake yourself, Take all the courage you have left Wasted on fixing all the problems that you made in your own head But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really f****d it up this time Didn't I, my dear? Didn't I, my dear? Tremble for yourself, my man, You know that you have seen this all before Tremble little lion man, You'll never settle any of your scores Your grace is wasted in your face, Your boldness stands alone among the wreck Now learn from your mother or else spend your days biting your own neck But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really f****d it up this time Didn't I, my dear? But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really f****d it up this time Didn't I, my dear? Didn't I, my dear? But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really f****d it up this time Didn't I, my dear? But it was not your fault but mine And it was your heart on the line I really f****d it up this time Didn't I, my dear? Didn't I, my dear?
