Saw them as a kid, at the University art department where my mom attended classes, the show included the pipes & balls, putty-masks, etc. That was circa 1980 - lemme tell ya, it had a profound impact on me as a kid, and amoung the young theatre, dance, performance art people who were there you could tell there were a lot of minds completely BLOWN. A very very influential group. And I wonder, in this day when Blue Man Group is a house-hold word, I wonder how many people know of Mummenschanz?

I love them so much. Saw them when I was younger, maybe ten or fifteen years ago? It was amazing. Another of their touring shows a couple years ago was not so great, but it's awesome to see them in their prime.

For those of you who are to young to remember, before there was video games and so much violence on tv this group was a breath of fresh air. Their shows were seen all over the world. Today we have Circ du Soleil. But we had Mum..living puppets. Their costumes were pure genius. I do hope they are still around. Our children would enjoy it.

Is this the only episode of the Muppet Show on which the guest stars did performances without the Muppets? Not to put down their performance, but I always felt that appearing on the Muppet Show and then performing without Muppets kind of missed the point of the show. But maybe that's just me.

They are just odd, so Jorge decided to add them to his video as filler, and the music, eerie narration and effects on his vid makes everything look creepier than it actually is. It's a joke.

When I was little I found them a little scary & creepy. I only remember scenes that were in the dark and not being sure where their bodies were. That and not speaking made them seem other-worldly, I think. It probably depends on which acts you watch. This one is obviously not too creepy.

I think the red one (the lady) wants him to look at her face or into her eyes, while the black one (the male) wants her to look at his you know what - i suppose its to represent two people attempting to romance each other, but both of them have different ideas/wishes of what that relationship will look like
