I think he didn't like it because it was not funny. He is talking about the premises munar chose. I can also understand what jaby is saying but is not wrong. Maybe he had to see the full show to get the right context.

Jaby, you were right in your assumption. In India, as in other countries (most probably), when someone calls themselves a 'theatre artist', the implication is that he/she is involved in performing stage shows in the theatre. As for the earlier bit about the young-looking mom, Munawar talks about 'Santoor', which is a soap... the ad for the soap shows people mistaking this young woman for an unmarried girl until her daughter comes running up to her calling her mom. Also, about your thoughts re his crowd work... perhaps if you watched one of his stand-ups in its entirety, it might change your mind.

Jaby, don't you have any consciousness alive. Can you dare to do the same reacting on some comedian who joked on Jews Holocaust? His humour is different, he's mostly famous for dark humour. And damn That hits. Because Most stand ups are based on the current situations of country and all. So if you're not aware of those things, you won't be able to get the jokes. He's one of the Comedians who in a way, Makes Fun of the Social Cultures and since it's a joke, he gets away with it.......Well this is what Comedy was Even Centuries ago.
