Murder suspect arrested after human remains found in Salford

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after human remains were found in a Salford nature reserve.
A human torso wrapped in plastic at Kersal Wetlands was discovered by a member of the public on Thursday afternoon (April 4). The victim has not yet been identified.
The suspect, said to be a man in his 20s from the local area, was detained on Saturday night (April 6) and will be questioned later today (April 7).

Great comment... I said they would get who was responsible but my comment was removed straight away.. Odd. The suggestion of the killer/killers was when the picture showed Parway care facilities.. That made me think the suggestion was a mental health patient.. But that's just an idea.. Probably owed money for drugs or he had cheated him somehow... Lots of nutters about thinking they are free from capture and prison.. But yes recovery from been dead would be impossible when your body is chopped into parts.....😅

There was a bike at the scene and the torso was wrapped in plastic I am guessing the person arrested is known to the police and there was fingerprints and or DNA, or a tip off there are also cameras around.

The victim was white. The majotity of this country is white. So are tge majoroty of drug dealers and drug murders. Off course it might be a person of colour that coukd be the murderer but salford is known for drugs and crime eap amongst locals.

If the police send out statements saying he could not have survived when he has been chopped up ,they send a message to those hearing it. That is why you have people making jokes because when we hear stupid statements which are beyond belief, the only way we can respond is by laughing. It is not disrespect it is desperation at nonsense. I send my respect to the loved ones of this man and hope they will blame the person who used those ridiculous choice of words and not those who reacted in a way which is a built in response the human brain has. [ You either laugh or cry with disbelief ]

I thought this was so weird when the torso was found yet no one had been reported missing until I found out it was a man’s and that’s why it wasn’t on the news as they only ever seem to report missing women. If the torso hadn’t been found we’d be none the wiser about this, they only reported it coz they didn’t know if it was male or female. This will be forgotten next week with no vigils or outrage even though there’ll be a sinister story behind it

If it was the suspect's Dad or Uncle, I am sure even GMP would have worked it out by now, so I tend to share your thoughts. Unless it's a modern slavery case and they simply disposed of someone who'd died on them: in which case there will be no record that the victim even existed. If you're right, though, an unclaimed car may come to light shortly!
