Some people said Natlan looks so cartoony and looks nothing like Genshin. I mean, bro, Fontaine looks nothing like Genshin. Inazuma looks nothing like Genshin. I love that they always feel different. "Genshin" isn't just the sum of its parts. Meanwhile, the artstyle is set by the devs to be vibrant so that it's easier on the eyes anyway. Been that way since Day 1. If they want different artstyle there's always Wuthering Waves. It's not forbidden to played more than one game.

@@exploreevery still keep expectations in check we’ve probably have seen 3 tribe areas already. Based on descriptions so far 2 other also seem to be on the “cartoonish” side. I wouldn’t be surprised if only Mare Jivari and one other contained defined area look desolate

Yeah agree since a lot of the times I return to Mondstadt when I finish playing I have felt this: “wait this is the same game” like after exploring the Chasm, inside a ruin golem, Enka, apocalyptic book, etc.

The only reason Harbingers like Childe don't age from Delusions is because probably, the Tsaritsa made seperate types of Delusions, ones that age and ones that don't. The former is granted to lower offficials, meanwhile the latter is granted to only the Harbingers since they're the only ones who can almost match in power with the Tsaritsa against Celestia

Watching this reminds me of the joy and wonder that I always feel when a new region comes out. I can't wait to see what Hoyo has been cooking for the next stop of our journey and all the new characters we'll meet and the experiences we'll have. If the Archon Quest is even half as good as Fontaine's was, I'll be satisfied. But I hope it will be more memorable and intriguing still. Less than 7 weeks to Natlan! \o/

the daydreamers club is literally daydreaming, no need to search for them, also some mechs on the map wont attack you if you dont trespass on the territory theyre guarding, i was also amazed by the underwater swimming and got used to it so much that when chenyu vale came out i drowned.

Watching the VODs of your first Fontaine streams while waiting for the last Fontaine (technically) patch.. Already feels quite nostalgic, I'm not gonna lie. At this point, we're probably going to be pretty much all caught up by the end of the year with the Genshin story? It's crazy to think that you and your editors have gone through so many hours of content in just a year! Y'all are truly amazing :D

1:08:00 IM JUST NOW REALISING that Marcel framed Childe to stand trial for the disappearances case because of this early interaction with his "bois" from the Confrerie of Cabriere, because otherwise he probably wouldn't have known that Childe is in Fontaine at all, and he wanted to settle a score because he got mad... THE WRITING BRO

I'm pretty sure this is just a plothole, because we didn't get a single confirmation on WHO accused Childe of that crime, and that was weird af considering how many times Neuvilette spoke about the consequences of making false accusations. Besides, Marcel is Snezhnayan, so I'm pretty sure he knows about Harbingers and how powerful they are, and he simply wouldn't dare stand in a Harbinger's way, and even if he would - Childe is known as the youngest Harbinger in history, he's literally around 20-ish, charging him doesn't even make sense, he's not old enough to commit a crime that's been happening for the last 20 years, and in my opinion Marcel would probably consider that.

@@Natsu Well, I think I can explain how it works. Bringing your point that Childe is the youngest Harbinger and he is around 20 ish y.o. If you remember, Marcel was committing those crimes in Fontaine for 20 years, so he most likely wasn't present in Snezhnaya when Childe was appointed as a Harbinger, so he might've not known neither his age nor his status and just framed him to buy some time as he was already losing the grip on the situation at that point. And I think punishment for a false accusation wasn't carried out precisely because the culprit (Marcel) was already dead by the time Childe got to the Fortress of Meropide, while Neuvillette was investigating Childes connection to the case. And it was complicated for Neuvillette to figure out because it was also the first time when the Oratrice gave a different verdict and declared Childe guilty, so he might've just not considered it a false accusation at a time. Anyway, I still think it's not a plothole, because it can still be explained, even if not confirmed, but context clues just point at it being Marcel, and since he is already dead, who will you punish for a false accusation? Right? And realistically, in the plot only Marcel was revealed to frame others(Even though at the end of the 2nd act) with his crimes, so it only makes sense to be him, anyone else wouldn't make sense to the plot.

There was so much lore in Fontaine, one thing that I wish happened was Albedo interacting with the melusines. I have “nice to meet you” and albedo’s friendship card for my profile just because of the lore and they actually look really nice together. Also we now have Childes vision in our inventory for 2 whole patches. When he gave that to us I prayed that wasn’t a death flag because at that time he was my main dps, has been ever since 1.5 I think. But he really is Mr. Worldwide, his talent books are in Mondstat, regional specialties from Liyue, weapon materials in Inazuma, best in slot artifacts in Sumeru, Constellation in Fontaine, and from Sneznaya. The only nation he doesn’t have anything from (yet) is Natlan. I wonder if he’s going to get anything there.

A nice thing that I didn't realize until I saw someone else playing this part after act 2 is that those guys that Childe beat are part of Vachers crime operation. They tried to frame Childe and that tied so much together

Fontaine is probably the best major expansion we ever have. The whole gameplay is a lot more fresh, and I've never spent so much time on exploring as I did in Fontaine since the last time I did on Inazuma. Not sure if Natlan can top Fontaine, but I have my hope.

25:10 Celestia is pretty much across from the Palais Mermonia (and just a little to the left) staring it down... or vice versa. If you're standing on the steps or top of the building, and you turn to face it, it kinda feels like it's at the 'end of the road' when you're heading straight out of the building. The building that is the main political offices of Fontaine. You know, because Mihoyo totally doesn't drop visual hints everywhere, and they definitely don't subtly foreshadow the past and things to come that are super obvious after the fact..

It could be because it lacked Nostalgia, but court of fontaine was my least fav city..idk why. Maybe because it is built like a giant fortified city (i mean it is like that to avoid keep as much water out as possible if the sea levels rise too much, but still..I can tell it would be mouldy, and wet(remember it is covered by water everywhere, even the sky has aqua bus routes, which i m pretty sure drip water down occasionally. It just feels it would be too mouldy and humid. Not to mention, the ambient tones of fontaine are rather..cool..the lighting and all. I don't hate it, but out of the five that we have...ehhh idk about court of fontaine. I m sorry if i m raining on anyone parade, i know everyone was excited for a new city/region. To me it feels like, Mondstadt is my home, where i m planning a retirement home . Liyue is where i work. Inazuma is where I go for vacation.Fontaine feels like the place where my company would send me for international trips. And Sumeru is where i originally belong from and my grandparents and all still live there. This is the vibes i get from each city.

Fontaine is such a fresh air for all players. Truly the peak of genshin. Can't wait to explore natlan next. One thing I learned from genshin is that they're always step up their game. Just when I thought sumeru was goated. Fontaine dropped. Natlan gonna be the next genshin peak for sure.
