Murdeshwar is a town in Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada district in the state of Karnataka, India.
This temple is built on the Kanduka Hill which is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea. It is dedicated to Sri Lokankara, and a 20-storied gopura is constructed at the temple. The temple authorities have installed a lift that provides a breath-taking view of the 123-feet Sri Shiva idol from the top of the Raja gopura. There is also a Rameshwara linga at the bottom of the hill, where devotees can do seva themselves.

India is not just about tajamahal...Our history book never mention these temples in our book..World largest temple Angkor wat temple built by Our hindu king Surya barmandev 2 which is in cambodia..Temples like bruhadeswar temple world first granite temple, Aruneswar temple, Ranganath swamy temple, Annamalaiyar Temple East Gopuram, Srivilliputhur Andal Temple, Ekamarswar temple, meenkashi temple all were built before 1000 years ago with height more than 200 ft...For more than 1000 years all these temples stand still without any harm from earthquake and Cyclone..Where tajmahal stand in front of these temples??Why our history book never mention about these great temples? If mugal are really great then why not a single monuments built by them in arab?? Qutabminar which was known as Vishnu stambh made by Varah mihira under the leadership of King Vikramaditya.. Mugal later converted it to a minar after destroying 10 temples. The fake history book which always mention about mugals never teach us the great heritage of our ancestors..visit thailand, Indonesia ,java ,south korea, you found many temples.How these temples were found outside india?Today they worship our god because they know their real history where as we hindu only read the mugal period ..What about the pre mugal period or post mugal period??..our history book start with mugals and end with mugals but actually our history starts from more than 5000 years ago. King like rajendra chola,Rajraja chola ruled over all southeast nation like philipines, thailand, indonesia,South korea,Myanmar etc. Gupta empire, Maurya empire,Chola empire,Pandiyan empite,Satvahan empire, all ruled over akhand bharat. Maratha empire ruled all over india after defeating mugal king.Maratha peshwa bajirao won more than 100 battle against mugals and brought bhagwa in delhi but what we read in our book.India is not just about tajmahal..If you want to know about our real history then search about all this above information in google ..you must proud yourself that how great our ancestors was?..Proud to be a hindu..proud to our ancestors for built this type of beautiful temple...

But i do not want to compare Tajmahal, but practically saying ,in front of this temple never be imagine that this was constructed by human being,where as tajmahal. was build by human beings,still then east or west India is the best....

I have been to many places on earth, (I live in Europe) but nothing can match the beauty of this place. There is something in Murudeshwara that I LOVE. People might think I am over exaggerating, but for me this is the most peaceful and beautiful place on earch. Especially standing in front of Shiva and behind Shiva statue where you can see ocean. It is even more beautiful at night❤️

Fantastic shoot. I am one among the subscribers of yours who watch and comment . As usual fabulous sharat. The top angle where in drone moves thru the top of the temple with sea on the both the sides with boats and then one side boats and the other side cars is an epic clik which speaks a lot . I am an ardent fan of Mr. K balachander. As a director his shots and locations speaks a lot than his actors. Good job
