There is no other song like the original Dancing Queen, because you want to dance and you want to sing, but this one is magical, takes you on a dreamlike journey, makes you forget the world around you or reminds you of a better time or a place or a person. Absolutely flawless and ethereal.

This is everything. Gets me every time. This is one of the last films one of my dear best friends and I saw together. She passed in ‘96 at the age of 29. I get teary eyed throughout the whole movie when I rewatch it. It just sums up what true friendship is.

@@Dimmary When she tried on her first wedding gown, at the bridal store. I remember that scene in every detail to this day, the rendition of this song was brilliant. Stunning. Almost seems every part of this scene was timed to every low and high of the song. Watch it. 😎

Incredible magical movie, I grew up in the 70s & 80s obsessed with ABBA & it was just brilliant they way they embroidered ABBA's music into the storyline. Toni Collette was just phenomenal as Muriel such have won an Oscar completely stealing all of our hearts, I thought that all of Muriels family especially the mother were brilliant also. I saw this in the cinema early summer 1995 when it was released here in Ireland (I believe it was released earlier in other countries) & I just cried and howled in laughter throughout the movie. Absolute magical & a must of every diehard ABBA fan.

I was 8 when this song came out, at the end of the long hot summer of 1976. The world was a more innocent place and that summer was endless and full of possibility. Anyway, as our parents swayed their bell-bottomed pants to possibly the most joyously euphoric song ever written, how many of us detected the truly beautiful melody that lay at the heart of this all time disco classic? Just inspirational.

Personally, I liked the movie, "Muriel's Wedding," even though my only complaint was that the wedding moment was a small one. Other than that, great film, and especially with the talented Australian actress, Toni Collette, in the movie's lead.
