The British forced Africans to adopt the english name DOCTOR into their languages to replace e.g MUNDU MUGO in Kikuyu and MUGANGA among swahili tribe at the coast.Doctor was mis pronoused DAGITARAY and DAKTARI among the kikuyu and swahili respectively. AGO were both PROPHETS and HERBERLIST (DOCTORS)using herbs (MAYTHAIGA/or MAYTAY) to treat illnesses . MUROGI (MUCHAWI) was/is a nefarious(evil) profession. OROGI means POISON. MUROGI(muchawi) means "a person who uses orogi/poison"to destroy /or Kill.
