this song can be viewed in a much more cosmic context when you think about it with regards to growing older, maturing, and realizing that things are changing around you. You lose some of the love you used to have, yet you keep some of it. Some of your relationships last; others don't. You are happy at times and at others sad..

My God that ending....like a ending for a movie with a happy ending, but there is something wrong with it like something is lurking or waiting to ruin it. Kind of eerie and interestingly beautiful overall, and another excellent song by Muse.
@stevenprince19628 жыл бұрын
The ending is actually 'Interlude' the bridging piece between this and Hysteria. So yeah, you're right in a sense: Falling Away is about reminiscing about the sad and beautiful times you share with someone. And Hysteria is when the anger breaks out of those feelings. Or at least that's my interpretation.
@ericscott90298 жыл бұрын
Seems like legitimate views. I also notice in Falling Away With You that these feelings are incorporated into the lovers' minds, and Hysteria is pure obsession with a prostitute after he has sex with her, he tries every way to see her or tracks of her and it is killing his feelings inside, so he becomes very destructive and unstable mentally. The video also gives more meaning into Hysteria. Both are magnificent songs by a very great band.

Any way you perceive its meaning: They're both absolutely cracking songs.

@thegreatslothlord77967 жыл бұрын
I absolutely love how the guitar sounds all lovey dovey even though the lyrics are dark and then the Interlude comes along and it's like "What? You still think this is a happy song. Well, check this riff out and then tell us if you find it happy then." Such a perfect transition from something lovely and soft (even though the lyrics are dark which I mentioned earlier) to something that is dark and forebode-ing which is shown in Interlude before turning into the next track Hysteria.
@darr9156 жыл бұрын
it is sort of happy though. Through the whole thing, all the bad things that are happening to you, you are suffering with the person you love, with each other.

The amazing Butler is not on fire, so sorry to hear about losing your Woman, put her behind you dude & try moving on. It obviously wasn't meant to be, but maybe something good could come out of it, as one never knows what's just around the corner, so don't loose heart & allow her to leave you feeling this way, when she's obviously not concerned..
