I've noticed a parallel between this song and "Uprising". Uprising talks about how it's time to fight back against corruption and greed while Thought Contagion says it's too late. We done waited too long and now we have to live with what we've let happen. Both of these songs are really good, think of the messages as you will. This has been my TED talk

Dewy Studios™ I think it too! But in the same time is in contrast with drone album because in this new album same the artist want fight again with some “powers”
@josephzavoral46015 жыл бұрын
Yes and both are infinitely trite & made for an incredibly jejune audience, but it sounds good, instrumentally speaking anyway.

"Thought contagion" and "The handler" are the most similar. The lyrics are from the perspective of one who has sold their soul to the establishment for fame and money. The handler is a reference to monarch program psyop "handlers" of Manchurian candidates who have split personality (see Beyonce and Sasha Fierce, and others) Thought contagion video and lyrics are reinforcing the similar Luciferian New World Order theme. in the video, he is bitten by a succubus vampire with military police as puppets dancing and then he gains paranormal powers and a fancy car. That vampire represents a seduction which leads the "victim" of the temptation into a Faustian bargain with the powers that shouldn't be. The lyrics mention split personality, mind wiping, and "thought"s that are injected like a virus or "contagion" into the person being brainwashed. It says "you've been bitten by someone's false beliefs" or in other words, given ideas that are not your own. The lightning arcing across him after joining the dark brotherhood can be a reference to Manly P. Hall- "When the Mason learns that the key to the warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the mystery of his Craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands and before he may step onward and upward, he must prove his ability to properly apply energy." Lucifer is also referenced as "lightning coming down from heaven" in scripture. There are countless images, artistic works, insignias, and references to lightning and the classic thunderbolt design, which many are unknowing or direct homage to Lucifer, the shining one. One example is the Nazi SS lightning bolt which could be deemed symbolic and esoteric in nature due to the Thule society and other masons being in the leading roles of said organizations.... This stuff goes deep when you're a well read conspiracy buff who's heard a thing or two. 😃

I got a few good songs for you whenever you're stoned. Space Dementia, Screenager, The Globalist, and Map of the Problematique. I can understand why some people assume that Muse isn't for them, with their more pop sounding songs like Madness and Starlight as their most popular, but Muse is very experimental and has something for everyone. Other than modern pop elements, they generally also include elements of 80's rock, and classical music into their songs, and then they just do whatever kind of tone they want with that kind of music. That's why you got Knights of Cydonia as their western sounding song, while Reapers sounds more like something out of a futuristic war(like the opening to Terminator) and many more.

This song is relevant to the growing issue of polarizing people across the political spectrum and social media has given more power to people with false beliefs to influence others. Matt Ballamy talked about the meaning behind this song is an interview with Rolling Stone.

Last year I went to see muse headline at lollapalooza in Chicago, I didn't really know who the were I got to hear three songs by them before the concert got rained out. It took three songs for me to become obsessed with them. Three songs. And it wasn't even starlight or any of their main songs. Luckily I got to hear the killers the play it the next day. I really hope they come back someday

This song is the sequel to Micro Cuts. Matt said it was the sequel to Fury, and I can hear that in the lyrics, but I like my theory better :P Micro Cuts was from a dream Matt had where these microscopic things would fly into your head and splice your brain up and like, do surgery on you and change your brain and make you think how the government wants you to think. So if you think about thought contagion that way, the story is basically that Micro Cuts was a test and Thought Contagion is the fictional government releasing these "micro cutters" out into the general population. Both Micro Cuts and Thought Contagion also have striking similarities with both Unnatural Selection and Citizen Erased, lyrically. And I swear EVERY Muse song can be logically connected to "New Born." New Born should be the theme song of Black Mirror, which incidentally, Matt said Thought Contagion was based off of.

I’ve listened to the lyrics of the most popular songs they released and just like every other artist/ band in the music industry, they say the same things and are messages to us for help. They signed up for a deal which seemed a great idea but when they realised it wasn’t, it was too late. That’s why they send messages in their music.

My hope and intent is to live with consideration for others well being as well as my own. May those who lay snares be transformed by the Love and Lesson. No annihilation and no reincarnation!
