I don't think people realize how hard that bass line is. People need to give Chris Wolstenholme some fucking credit. I tried playing that riff for like 3 seconds and I almost lost my arm....

Not only this song is an absolute banger, it's also one of the best exercises ever for bassists. The riff on the verses streches the left hand and requires precision overall. Good for technique. Then you release all of that tension during the chorus, go hard in that process, and this usually puts a huge smile on your face. One of the most satisfying songs to play as a bassist.

Much. much older who headbanged and danced to this music full on drunk, whether live or cover or played in a dive bar, I can say one thing: You make me hopeful. There's so much I want to tell you about what you are about to experience in life, since regardless of times it's always the same, but it's much better for you to live your life, as yourself. Be a light to shine for others to see themselves. So great to see the next generation interested in last gen :)

@@mad_bad_cat Yeah, I've seen a lot of Gen Z fully embracing classics not only from the 2000s but from the 1960s through to the 1990s as well. Part of it is the way certain movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy have re-popularized older classics, part of it is simply that 95% of modern music since 2010 is absolutely soulless, navel-gazing tripe.

I am just so glad Phil Lester happened to bring me here, cause it's thanks to him if I'm now in love with the song and I'm starting to get into Muse. Jess McDermid same, I mean..I remember listening to the most famous singles on the radio or something when I was younger, but I was never really a fan of them. Their music is something pretty different to what the other musicians and bands are used to make

I don't know what it is about this song but whenever I want to escape, whenever things get overwhelming I come here and blast this song at full volume and just sing aloud, not caring who will hear me. I just go to a world where bad things are not there. I m grown up but whenever I see the stuff that I or people around me are going through I cannot hear it. I just want things to remain like it was when I was a kid, when I used to think that the world is actually a nice place with no bad people, no bad intentions. We teach kids in school through those moral classes, books telling how you should behave, be kind and not hurt others and then we go to the real world it is not at all what you thought it to be, and I think that I, this generation, can make a difference if they want but that innocence gets lost somewhere and we become what we detested And if anybody read this thanks and I truly wish you have a great life ahead

I love Muse since 2001. Someone in high school gave me a burned CD. I saw them in a small outdoor theater in a small city of French Riviera in 2003. Not a lot of people so I was very close to the stage. Best moment of my life ! They were not celebrities and that was better... This song and the album "Origin of Symmetry" are from 2001 and not from 2010 as I see in the comments... (This music was put on KZfaq in 2010)
