Usually the red boxes mean what you’re asking it to play is outside the range of the instrument, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here so I think it’s because you’re asking it to play two voices on one string and it’s not happy with the idea.

Thought it might be something like that.

11:56 a "tremolo bar" is another word for "whammy bar", which allows one to shift the pitch by manipulating an arm on the bridge of the instrument. it allows for wider pitch variation than a bend (which for most mortal humans is rarely more than 1.5 steps) as well as "dive bomb" sounds. think Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock performance of "Star Spangled Banner".

I should add that it's pretty rare (and somewhat sacrilegious) to see a tremolo system on an "LP" style guitar, but they are usually included on the "SC" style.

Ah, thank you. Always seen it, never knew what it was called or how to notate it. I'll make sure not to use it on the "LP"!

@@rueburch2856 Most LP's with a wiggle stick are equipped with a Bigsby style whammy... although still not many. I think you meant SG style rather than "SC" style... right?! ✌😀

I am a guitarist (mostly classical) and I hear that the samples are lacking a good attack. The science of how to shape your fingernails is advanced these days so a better grip on the string would sound different than this slippery one.

Interesting, thanks for the comment. I particularly liked it because of the round tone without too much attack. Could EQing some highs back in help?

@@mccoydtrombI guess that they sampled it so that very fast runs would not sound stuttering but that makes the slower lines sound weak. My guess is that we have to wait for coming additions to MuseSound guitars.

A "tremolo bar" was actually named wrongly. Tremolo is an effect of lowering and raising the volume, with tremolo effects often found in amplifiers. It should have technically been called a "vibrato bar"... which changes pitch to varying degrees. The older designs such as Bigsby were made fore relatively smaller bends in pitch and a little shimmer or warble to a chord or note. More modern designs like the Floyd Rose system are made for dive bombing while keeping the guitar somewhat closer to being in tune after use. Even more modern versions exist which changes pitch on all strings equally.... such as Ned Steinberger's TransTrem... and others.

imo guitar is the final frontier of a good sound library. Make it believable and you've made it. never heard any sound good.

No reason not to create a good sample other than ignorance. Years ago I heard a just about perfect sample created by a guitarist using SoundFont.

And what's your opinion of muse guitars so far?
@tomgutierrez7573
@tomgutierrez7573 7 ай бұрын
The sound of the basses (wound strings) lacks definition as if being played without nails, but in general it's really not so bad and better than many others. If samples aren't taken from a classical guitarist with a good tone, all bets are off. The majority of the guitar's sound comes from the player.

@@mccoydtrombit's bad. Sound like it was all played by one finger. Maybe even a pick.
