I have seen that since 2019 when covid struck. He seems to be speaking parting wisdom unknowingly. I have had a relative that did that as well then she died 2 weeks later. She even became a born again Christian 4 days before her death but kept it a secret from her children who were Catholic .

In 2022 President Museveni is blaming traditional Africa leaders for the woes of Africa. What has Museveni done in his more three decades in office. During the precolonial Africa, Ugandan traditional doctors were practicing cesarean section, blacksmiths were smelting iron and producing iron implements, animals were tamed, crops were domesticated, no one wanted foreign aid, no one had a debt. So, who is Museveni lecturing? why is crying like he is powerless? The Traditionals African leaders did a lot more than the fake leaders who are western educated like Museveni. Stop the nonsense.

As an African-American, I find the Presidents comments on the Kings Highly disrespectful, I trust no AFRICAN LEADER who prays to Colonizers God and mimics the Colonizers ways of knowing,dress etc. One of our great elders, historian, John Henrik, Clarke said, until an African leader goes before the world dressed in our traditional garb, and bears witness to some of our traditional religious practices. Colonizers will never take us seriously. President looks/dresses like a US Black republican congressman.

This is why majority Ugandans no longer need this guy in power. M7 is ignorant of the great development that Africans had made before European invaded. Some examples - in West African Kingdoms, and South Africa Kingdom known to be the strongest Kingdom in African back then. King Shaka Zulu significantly resisted the European invasion, the great Zimbabwe, a city of stone that was built in around 1000s 9th century. Many European had not achieved any at that time. Great Zimbabwe still stands today. Little has been written about Africa's great establishment. In conclusion, if European didn't invade Africa, I believe Africa would be first word

You are correct. The explorers were truly surprised to find organised Kingdoms in Africa. They went back to England and gave tainted feedback about Africa to progress colonialism. They are still doing it when they report on Africa or blacks in general.

I don't know about Uganda's politics but in India we face a similar problem; people cling to history more ancient than the Bible as if the time period makes us more honorable. You may be right that we should not insult kings of earlier time. If we take the example of UK, the barons systematically reduced the power of their monarch and a parliament evolved. It took more than 200 years; after their colonial ties with America crashed. Maybe my knowledge of history is mixed up but one thing's for sure; if history is to save us, we must use it as a ramp to run over and leap into the future. That's what I understood from the President's speech. TY.

Mr. President a clever person like you wouldn't laugh at our Kings whom you call chiefs because all African countries are Counties created by colonial masters and Uganda is also a County created by the British for you as a Chief to preside over as President on behalf a King or Queen of Britain, therefore what you're talking about doesn't make sense!

If Pres. Museveni was a Leader for united African states, he will be with authority to blame the Kings or Chiefs Isaza created to lead the Counties-(Amasaza) on his behalf but you can't accuse the Chiefs when Uganda is also County created by the British for you to lead as President representing the Queen of Britain then you start to blame the Chiefs! Banange, tuswala when we don't respect our past Leaders.
