In this video we will see how to make Mushroom gravy in Tamil (kalan kulambu). This Mushroom curry / Mushroom masala restaurant style is an ideal side dish for chapathi / rice. Mushrooms have the ability to soak up the flavors from all the added seasonings. In this recipe the mushrooms are soft and juicy and have an interesting texture to them. Mushrooms are healthy and provide vitamins and micro nutrients and is very low in calories.

This was awesome for dinner. I had tinned mushrooms and the cooking time was less, the mushrooms also didn't release any water, so added a glass and the curry was delicious, with no grinding and no extra work. Loved how simple and quick this was. I added capsicum too since my mushrooms weren't enough. Delish! Thank you.

Hi Steffi, As you said in your Q & A, I was buying Mushroom Masala from a restaurant and found it very small in quantity. I wanted to prepare in large quantity for my family too. While searching for a video, I came across your video and I prepared Mushroom Masala last night not a gravy type with less and it came out excellent.
