Greetings, in this video we're taking a look at the 5, 7, 8, and 10 day progress of the two Mushroom Supplies grow bags that I put into fruiting conditions on October 5th. From initial primordia formation to pins!

Beautiful camera work Gent. All the best on your new growing journey. I finished my first mono tub and grew a ton of shrooms. Harvesting is so gratifying. I just moved to rice grain jars and CVG. It's been a phenomenal experience. Built up LC jars from my last grow and using to innoculate rice grain jars. Super fast inoculation times. Easy and cheaper than buying bags. Experimenting with multiple methods is the best way to go. Thanks for sharing your journey. All the best. Love your video skills. Looking forward to seeing your harvest reports.

I got the same grow bag. Its been over a month and I finally transferred it to my monotub. Right now it looks just like your day 5. The colonization period took so long i was worried about contamination, but it's looking really good. The primordia on mine look like these little pointy white thorns. Really cool! I was thinking of misting mine, but there are tons of little micro droplets all over the mycelium, and the internal humidity guage is reading 99%

Excellent advice and info, well presented, and just what I needed to see today! Thumbs-up and subscribed! I'm a first time myco-rangler, and today, I put my first four batches into fruiting conditions. I was a little surprised, when I opened the bags, to find primordia everywhere, and even a handful of really determined little pins popping out. A balm to the soul! I think this is really going to work! Pretty soon, we'll have some Mazatapec, Purple Mystic, and Golden Teacher shrooms coming out in all their glory!

Congrats! This is my first grow & rn I got pins like crazy, moved it from all in one bag to tub with Perlite because even tho I used a rubberband I had huge side pins but I didn’t have much primordia at all

I actually just removed the cake from the other bag completely because despite the rubber bands, I had side pins forming below it too. You should have fruits soon, happy harvesting!

I’m really hope you update the bag that’s not fruiting! I also have a mushroom supply bag I noc with MS on 8/13 it was very slow also but on 10/12 I had pins growing in the bag an the bag was closed. I opened it put in mono and I have lots of pins good luck

Can i ask what exactly youve got lining your tub? looks like perlite but thers like a piece of paper on top.

Correct, there is perlite in there and I have a piece of aluminum foil that the cake is sitting on.

At what point do you expose to light and for how long each day

At the time I put it into fruiting conditions. I don't concern myself with duration of light exposure though, it doesn't really matter. Light isn't required to produce fruits.

Is there an All In One bag to add at the bottom of the tub? Can one open the bag and place it in the tub?

Yes, all I did was cut the bag open and use the tub as a fruiting chamber.

Very nice. So what happened to mushroom supplies? Their page is basically non-existent, and the last couple bags i got from them were already contaminated. It seems like they stopped caring.

I'm honestly not sure. For me personally, after using the North Spore grow bag I feel like it is a superior product and if I do more bag grows I'll just use that.

Yes, one of them I had in a Max Yield Bin and the other was in an unmodified tub. I also fruited a third bag on its own that I didn't document.

@@G-WhizsWorkshop All three bags were the same variety of mushroom, but were all started from different multi-spore syringes. The bag in the Max Yield Bin yielded the best mushrooms of all three in my opinion.

I got a couple of Mushroom Supply all-in-one bags for my rookie attempt too; and they seemed to take a long time to propagate the mycelium. But after the break 'n shake, they went nuts, and I was seeing abundant primordia everywhere. They are beginning to fruit now. So be patient. Mine took about seven weeks to reach this stage, but now it looks like it's going to be a very satisfying harvest. (That was using spores, not liquid culture.) Good luck, & happy shroomin'!

@@ModalMyco thank you! And also I really like how you tell exactly how long everything took and the dates of everything cause you can’t really find much detailed info out there on how long all in 1 grow bags take to fully fruit although I know each strain is different.

@@EnlightenedMind369 You're welcome! Glad you're getting something out of the videos. I will say too, that I've learned it's not just about strain with the timelines. Environmental conditions are also a big factor. In my latest video, I talk about how one of my bags had way too much moisture and it's my best guess that this was a major factor in how slow the bag's development and fruiting was. Go 5lb bag. Yield sucks on 3lb bags.Also spores take forever leaving More time for contamination

Both of those are contaminated. I can clearly see it. Trash them both and start again. Dont open those bags until the whole bag is white

I wasted my time and money on the all in one bag from Mushroom supplies. It's garbage. Love everything else you're doing.

@@ModalMyco The first had Trich when I got it. The second time it took over 4 months to produce about an eighth. Not enough nutrition in those bags. I don't know it seems like maybe they don't add enough grain or gypsum or something. Try the Poo god if you havn't. The exotic manure is otherworldly. But yeah I think that other cake will probably flush a couple times and be done before that MS one gives you anything. Just my opinion though. I like your videos.

I recently discovered that the cake I was trying to fruit in the bag had WAY too much moisture. It clicked for me that this was the issue with its slow progress throughout. I was finally getting some fruits but they were very small. I've since completely removed the cake from the bag and it's dried up a bit and is performing better. All that to say, I wonder if that's also what you faced (too much moisture) rather than a lack of nutrients. Were you fruiting it in the bag?
