do not forget to set high video quality when listening on KZfaq - this also affects the audio quality (unfortunately, in this video, 480p is set) and the compression feels very strong.

@@DrumRollTonyReacts In the bottom right of the video make sure the little gear says "HD" in red. If it doesn't, click on it and make sure Video Quality is set to 1080p. If it doesn't have a 1080p option you might have to find another video of the song on KZfaq

@@Til_What it's usually because the lyrics are awkward because it's not his first language, which is not a bad thing, it's clearly part of the style. I just can't help but roll my eyes when people say he's a lyrical genius with some of the goofy shit he writes. The sound works, he could be saying anything but it works because of his delivery

0:58 pretty sure that's a vocal sample singing "baby". It's a reference/callback to the previous battle theme for the original Persona 3 game "Mass Destruction" (they made a version for Reload too idk if you reacted to that one) that literally just starts with the singer going: "BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY"

Gosh the main thing I love about your channel is that you actually pay attention to every single instrument. Most KZfaq reactors simply put the “musician tag” on their titles but never actually break it down at all. Atsushi Kitajoh absolutely slays in the brass. His use of it in Persona Q2 is immaculate (I also noticed he did the arrangement for Specialist in P4D, which is awesome).

The other tune on this game's soundtrack that really stood out to me is "Changing Seasons," which was actually in the original P3 20 years ago, but the melody was carried by the horns, and it had a spoken-word French section. Now the main melody is on vocals, and the spoken-word bit was changed to English. Theyr'e both good, but I think I prefer the new one more. It's also an interesting exercise being familiar with the old tracks and seeing how the new versions of them are re-arranged, remixed, and reimagined. Some got very minor changes, and some feel like a whole new piece.

Honestly it is hard to decrypt the lyrics in many of these songs because of how they pronounce English words. In When Moon's Reaching Out Stars, especially original, I would never guess the actual lyrics just from hearing

what I like about this song is that it was only composed for the remake, P3Reload, released last month, but the team behind it and the composers did everything they could to make it fit in perfectly with the other OSTs in the game, which, I'll remind you, is almost 20 years old... another masterclass from the SMT Persona team

So funny how I commented on your last video to do this song probably hours before this was uploaded, so great to watch your reactions! Persona 5 (in particular Royal) has arguably the most popular hits due to its relative mainstream success but also they're just really freaking good. I love Persona 3 and Reload's OST just as much, the songs are great in their own way. But certain songs like the battle song "Life Will Change", the bustling "Tokyo Emergency" or "Tokyo Daylight", the enchanting "Beneath the Mask", the atmospheric "Sunset Bridge", even the euphoric "Royal Days" and especially "Royal Days - another version". I could go on but there is a treasure trove of masterpieces and you've barely touched on the gold mine. Either way, it's been awesome seeing responses to your comments! I can see your passion through discussions and learning.

If you’re open to doing a longer video you could do a comparison of the song “Mass Destruction.” Persona 3 Reload is a remake of Persona 3, a JRPG classic from 2006 and so it features newly arranged and remastered tracks from the original games in addition to new ones like the one you listened to in this video. Mass Destruction has garnered some controversy with fans of the original game saying the original version was much better but some new fans believe the new arrangement is better. As someone who is unbiased, it would be interesting to see which one you think is musically better by listening to both for a video

I’m watching this new anime called metallic rouge. And HOLY. The OP and and an OST called Crimson Lighting is soooooo good. The opening has a bit of an 80s r&b feel and the OST is just heavenly. No other words to describe.

If you see the Persona songs performed live (they're on KZfaq, especially at Yokohama Center), there's effectively a symphony accompanying the singers - multiple pianos/keyboards, drums, a string section, brass, and electric. Incredibly insane for "video game music." And the crowds these concerts draw are pretty wild too.

I think you'd really like 'When The Moon's Reaching Out the Stars" also in Persona 3 Reload. It has a SUPER sick ride cymbal pattern and some really good layering throughout the verses with some cool synth lines and stuff like that.

Idk if u do this type of song, but would you check out Deep Breath - reincarnation. It sang by lotus juice and Yumi way back before P3R. They planned to release the reload version of it (possibly with P3R singer) but not until atleast april this year. So the old reincarnation version is the one currently available.

I would highly recommend Battle for Everyone's Souls. If you wanted some context you could also listen to Aria of the Soul first which the battle theme is a remix of. EDIT: The song might also be called Battle Hymn of the Soul in Reload.
