Sunday April 7 marked 50 years since the famous Gneeveguilla fiddle player Denis Murphy passed away. There was a Plaque unveiled by his relatives and a few words from his cousin Catherine Milliard and a large crowd attended. Many local Sliabh Luachra musicians of all ages attended and played a few tunes to honour his memory .
