Three drummers performing together on the A train.
* Update: September 2021*
These are THE LAST DRUMMERS and they are so talented! Thank you to those who brought this to my attention, I was not aware of their name when I captured this video (wow, three years ago in 2018).
Be sure to go follow their KZfaq page! / thelastdrummers

hmmm, to be honest: we germans don´t have too much drummig and percussion in our traditional cultural heritage, but during the last century we learned a lot from other cultures and adapted many nice things - due to the modern facilities there has been a great exchange worldwide and i personally love this a lot! one of the things i liked, is that after the appearance of the nigerian superstar king sunny adé in german tv in 1983 we had a wave of african bands coming over to germany and i saw countless of them perform live and they were all excellent musicians, singers and dancers... and i love the net for providing us with sweet stuff from all around the globe!!! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oryAf6ymp9-dc40.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iLJgpb2J39ucgZc.html last year friends of mine gave out this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i9yDl615x93beY0.html yep, and i love this very video also and send love and greetings from germany to you over there in the bronx... :-)

I totally agree with you on that one brotha Pablo Figueroa. Drums are like languages. And they speak a language all their own. When we learn to drum we are learning the language of the percussion. Just like a guitar player a keyboard player flute harps so on and so forth. Music itself is a language. Reading notes to play the proper tones. This rumba is rich with history and when playing rumba shares a culture all into itself. I am a djembe drummer it took me 35 years to get where I am and I still have way too much to learn which is the fun part for me every African rhythm I learn and practice is like learning a language of each country of the continent of Africa. Bless brotha man always for sharing this comment

There is hope for the human species. This is not just three guys hitting some drums and making noise. This is a true dialogue between three different humans beings, with different styles, different perspectives, and surely different backgrounds. But they are able to put all that aside and have a dialogue, listen to each other, respect each other voices and without a doubt, bring some joy to this convulsive world. We could have better societies if we follow examples like this.

Love it. Used to hear conga drum players in the late 60s and 70s playing around Berkeley CA all the time especially around Tilden park lake. Good job👍👍👍😊

The disinterest from siss in the scarf and glasses in the background, is level 10. To ignore audio and visual stimulus that close by, that staunchly, requires super hero levels of defiant concentration. When soulful meets soulless!! Great vibes, great idea! Great work, guys!! 🎼🧘‍♂️✨

The English took away the hand drum from blacks in the States, thing the Spaniards didn't do in the Caribean and South America. Watching this video makes me tear up. Love to see African Americans drumming away like they always did for generations before.

@@neroinc5998 no conga player is not a personality trait. But I know.. It's the internet. We sit in distance judging other people in other situations. We are detached from it and we forget that being in the situation could easily make us behave the exact same way. She looks happy and relaxed and enjoying the music to me. Actually she's the only one showing some kind of attention/enjoyment in the music. But.. it's a NYC subway..

Boom...shaga...laga...laga... boooom..... So sweet!! It was this way when I drummed among all the other immigrant musicians, near Arthur Ave. Their, then, there REALLY was "dancing in the streets", singing on a street corner, everybody joining in. The best! Now, @ my 69-yrs, I'll take my djembe & doumbek to so-called Drum Circles in SW FL, & it's all bang bang bang. Sighhh. Folks here think an expensive drum makes it's "magic" just sitting between their legs. Nope, it's one's hands, heart, & ears that combines to cause it. Like with these fine young men!! Gracie'
