Mariá Portugal (drums, vocals) & Romain Bly (drums, trumpet, effects)
In this duo-drums session, we bring Brazilian drummer & singer Mariá Portugal together with French multi-instrumentalist Romain Bly. Melting melody and rhythm, Mariá is constantly searching for a song form that never ends, and never tires either. Romain grew up in Paris, with a trumpet and a French horn under his pillow. Living in Rotterdam for the past decade he has played one or several instruments he masters with the likes of La Boutique Fantastique, Stargaze and Bonsai Panda. Their music session zooms in on their similarities, and turns into what they themselves named ‘Improv in symmetry’.
