Could you maybe if you find time break up skz Megaverse? Chan mentioned the tempo change and that 3racha almost gave up on making Megaverse and i would be very interested in an analysis why you think that is.

That was very interesting. I normally don't like it when reactors rank songs or "grade" it, but you had me in everything else so I suddenly didn't mind it (and that really says a lot for me). Love getting some music theory while enjoying a song.

Would be interested to see what you think of the production on 3racha-produced SKZ songs (including those with their usual in-house collaborators like Versachoi) compared with this one. There’s also a “Stray Kids Version” of this song, still produced by Puth/Goldstein, but I thought the vocals there were a bit more “crisp” and less *overly* tuned, even just in that last ending phrase.

@@KenanSalazarMusicHouse Just off of their most recent release it might be most interesting to check out “Megaverse” (I saw some other commenters requesting it, and it does do some pretty cool things with the tempo!) and maybe “Cover Me” (more of a ballad, might be particularly useful to compare vocal “crispiness” haha). “Hall of Fame” (a little further back, came out about a year ago) is a personal favorite too - all of these are written/composed/arranged/produced by 3racha (“Cover Me” was actually Bang Chan + Hyunjin) plus their usual in-house colleagues, rather than an outside “collab.”

Amazing analysis man 🔥🔥 You've got a sub from me! Not sure if you've heard about them but there's this 7-member Japanese girl group based in South Korea called XG. Their songs mainly fall under the Hip-Hop and R&B genres. Their most popular songs are LEFT RIGHT and SHOOTING STAR. They've also released a full rap track called WOKE UP just recently. Would be great to hear your insight on them as a music producer 🙂

Hello, Kenan Salazar Wonder if you can Analyze a rock band from Japan call BAND-MAID and their song REAL EXISTENCE 😊 BAND-MAID is an all female Japanese rock band that dresses up as cafe maids But these ladies are no joke and play harder than the guys most of the time. These ladies have 4,910 video reaction with hardly any strikes so If you don’t mind thousands of rock and metal heads coming to your channel you may want to check em out! 🤔

Hi! I am aspiring to be a music producer when I'm older and i would love if you could tell me how you learned all this music theory? I am Grade 5 in music theory but i feel it only covers mainly classical music. I would really appreciate a reply! 😊

Yes of course! When I was still a teenager, I picked up guitar as my primary instrument and did self-study on that instrument, and through that I was able to grasp fundamental aspects of music theory just through experience, but I didn't seriously start learning this more jazz/pop-centric theory until I sought out a guitar teacher who could teach me jazz music. Before entering high school I had already decided I wanted to go to Berklee College of Music (much more pop, jazz, rock, and R&B focused music school) so I did a lot of preparation by studying some of the music theory curriculum with my guitar teacher, who was a Berklee alum and former instructor there. Through that I learned how important it is to take these lessons and apply it to the music that I like, so for example if I learned how the different chords relate to each other in a key, I should try to listen to my favorite music with that in mind and see if I can hear what chords they're playing. After studying so much and finishing high school I was able to go to Berklee and learned much more advanced music theory there, but it really just built upon the fundamentals I had learned previously. That being said, you don't need to know the super advanced stuff to pursue a career as a music producer- I'm just a nerd 🤣 But it is very helpful to have a good understanding of this idea of "why do musicians and songwriters do what they do" and generally figuring out *why* they make their creative decisions will make you a better producer, musician, and all around creator
