Awesome video, thanks for the gems!! Would love to see more about vocals (and your thoughts on processing them, like male/female, different timbres) and how you go about instrumentation, like layering to make chord progressions more interesting or ear candy! Anyway, keep it up, really inspiring to watch! 🙏

Oak!! you're the man for taking the time to share and spread your knowledge. I do agree with the others about the screen size though (It's very hard to see what's going on) so maybe instead have Logic Pro full screen and have a tiny box of your screen in the top left/right corner? otherwise it's perfect! Can't thank you enough for making these.

I love how you drop Jem’s on people and they still have negative things to say… sounds good and a night and day difference from a amateur vox to something very up front and modern sounding

Hey Oak! What tricks do you use in Logic to get sessions recorded quicker? Punching / comping / fave keyboard shortcuts, would love to see the process in a session one day!

Cool! But you left out the very important part of the chain - the hardware? E.g what mic, preamp etc etc. A lot of coloring preamps are basically compressors in a way, so it makes a big difference if you run one of those or run clean. Btw I find myself using Spiff the opposite way - my chain of compressors can sometimes make things a bit harsh in the transients and Spiff in cut mode can tame that and make things a bit smoother while still having the vocal in your face :)
