I really like that you didn't skirt the issue in this video. How honest your question was with the beginner producer too. He has a great mindset about it. I posit that a model must be instituted enforce fair use where AI is concerned in order to ensure that where every AI-generated piece, whether a sound, track, or image, incurs a fractional cost to be deposited into a fund dedicated to distributing earnings to artists wherever they may be deserved, acknowledging their indirect contribution to the creation process, financially and however else otherwise. There also exists other alternative solutions one of which ammounts to the obfuscation of ones works from the prying, unwelcome eyes of AI. Visual artists are already pioneering technologies such as these to shield their works from crawlers used to feed AI models which distorts images in such a way that confuses machine learning algorithms and renders the works protected by this technology as unusable noise. This technique suggests that there exists a possible solution for other mediums, one which promises to safeguard one's intellectual property artistic and otherwise across all mediums from unauthorized AI consumption. The challenge then remains to craft a mechanism-either through collective action or regulatory intervention-that will ensure artists are credited and compensated for their work's role in training AI.

Simon, I've been watching your videos for a long while now. I'm STUCK with FL Studio Mobile so I beg of you, please sir, I am but a humble and poor beat curator whom only has his phone to make music. Seeing videos using the mobile app makes me feel like I still have hope. What you make in an hour I haven't even come close to yet. I used to have FL Studio 11 a looooonnnngggg time ago and my laptop broke so I stopped. Bought it on my phone several years ago but just this week I opened it back up and making the attempt to get back into it. Huge respect for the beginner bro. Like he said in the video, it's nothing to be ashamed of. You can almost think of the AI's level of making beats as its experience. It took the AI millions of songs to create that garbage POP A and it only took you this long to make POP B, that's a huge difference. The human element still matters a ton, even if the AI is technically better it's only because it's "Heard" more songs, it can't make anything with feeling or passion

These are my guesses as im watching Pop A was AI ✅ Pop B was Noobie Producer ✅ Pop C was Servida ✅ R&B A was Noobie ❌ R&B B was Servida ✅ R&B C was AI ❌ Trap A was Servida ✅ Trap B was Noobie ✅ Trap C was AI ✅ AI music has very little in terms of creative direction. Weird things that you'd hear someone like FLYLO do would only be an accident if AI were to do it. Thats part of why I got R&B wrong, that initial knock was pretty interesting, and it made me feel like it was an organic choice by a human. I could tell which one was the expert reliably. The noobie didnt know what he was doing at all for the R&B, no disrespect, but thats what made me feel like it was AI. I didnt particularly like the noobies tracks, nor the AI. I could get down with the tracks made by Servida. So what I take away, a good producer won't be easily beaten by AI. But noobies will have a difficult time competing with the soon to come hordes of AI producers. I can only hope that DJ's dont start performing live sets with AI music.
