I’ve seen your reactions before and really enjoyed them. I’m stunned that this seems to be your first reaction to Angelina. There are thousands and thousands of Angelina fans who sincerely believe she is the best singer they have ever heard. I’m one of them. This song, as you’ve probably read, was written by Angelina to honor her grandfather. While it’s a beautiful performance, it shows only a small glimpse of Angelina’s talent. She won Norway’s Got Talent at 7 years old channeling Billie Holiday and then doing her own versions of Summertime and Bang, Bang. From there, she’s covered many genres-and killed them-but jazz is in her bones and it allows her the vocal freedom to use her amazing voice. There are over 100 videos available from Angelina, singing before thousands at age eight, singing in her home with just an acoustic guitar backing her, and earlier this year mesmerizing the audience of America’s Got Talent with versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road. Both stunned the audience into silence before the standing ovations. Her covers of Adele, Lana Del Ray, and other current vocalists are uniquely Angelina and become your favorite versions. There’s no gimmicks with Angelina. It’s a voice for the ages and the best interpretation of lyrics I’ve ever heard. Suggestions: Bohemian Rhapsody, A Million Years Ago, Born to Die, and one of the best music videos of all time: Angelina at 9 years old doing a full-throttle tribute to Screamin Jay Hawkins “I Put a Spell on You”. That one is impossible to describe, but give it a look to understand that Angelina has been uniquely talented since she walked onto a stage at age 7 and was the best.

About Angelina's Japanese language skills, I am referring to a comment by a Japanese KZfaqr. I have never notice Angelina taking a deep breath before a strong part. Even when she was 9 she could hold a note forever without any problem (the end of "I put a spell on you").
@Bustefaen
@Bustefaen 3 жыл бұрын
She has lungs for days, or perhaps gills. Always had. She has some lines going for up to around twenty seconds of powerful BELTING on one breath. But she does need to breathe in obviously, sometimes very quietly and sometimes audibly for effect. And to nitpick, she does draw a huge gulp of air before the crescendo part of «Yellow brick road». Which is perfectly fine, of course!

@@103mrg There is a 19 second belt at the cresendo of Feeling Good from the Kongsberg Jazz festival concert with Angelina Jordan and Melody Gardot, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/abCWqbCFtc2Uj6s.html . (Notice there is no breath between «I’m» and «feeling». Just not enough time.) Also, there are two stretches of more than 15 second, one almost right after the other, in the German TV show version of «I put a spell on you». These are just top of my mind, I haven’t searched through her vast playlist to find her «record». She is likely capable of even more now than at a younger age, of course.

As with a single page of a novel or one scene of a movie it is impossible to appreciate the capabilities and skills of a singer with a single song. Angelina has 130+ covers and original songs available for viewing/reaction (She will turn 15yo in about a week). She has been performing at a high level since winning Norway's Got Talent at 8yo singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra and Gershwin. Angelina Jordan arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). This is not an exaggeration. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Billie Holiday to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Queen to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Amy Winehouse to Miley Cyrus (and many others in between) and do them all justice(all by age 14)! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. Toward that goal, her breath control, musical IQ, and vocal toolkit are without peer. You said little about the emotional content and message here but while dedicating it to her late grandfather, AJ here writes this original for anyone who has lost someone (a timely message for the year we are in) and it is very relatable to many. Listen to more of her work and you will quickly realize that she is special. Consider that a 13yo Angelina steps before a huge audience (America's Got Talent -The Champions) with judges and totally controls the room down to the pin drop level, starts a cappella, and completely transforms what might be the most iconic song on the planet "Bohemian Rhapsody" (a risky choice for mortals) and does it superbly with calm and confidence. Or her rendition of "I Put a Spell on You" at 9yo (B&W version). It is possibly the most astounding 3 minutes on YT. Later classics like "Feeling Good" (10yo) and " A Man's World" (12yo) are required listening. There are many more superlative choices. You'll soon see that she can sing about anything and you will want to hear every phrase and note. Welcome aboard the AJ train!

Angelina has written a masterpiece which will provide comfort for anyone who has lost a loved one. She is a music prodigy specializing in vocals the only such prodigy I know of. As talented as she is she is an even better human being, always performing barefoot. Here is the story why. At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.

Hi Boy DJ, welcome to the universe of Angelina Jordan and thanks a billion for this nice and professional reaction to her - I'm sure to hear more reactions from you! ...because it is... ...too late! Even if you won't believe it and if you are in denial about it: Only listen to one song sung by Angelina Jordan and you are hocked on listening her voice! And here is a video where it is explained (with English subtitles) why she performs barefoot: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d5N_fq-k0bWbZI0.html and here an Interview in the Norwegian TV (with English subtitles) from 2015 after she has published her book about the story why she is barefoot when performing: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y8lzf6eKlam3imw.html In addition to school she got also vocal training at the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program (I read, that this school said, they couldn't teach her more stuff because she has all learned what she could learn in this school ;-) ) - and btw. she plays also grand piano, violin, flute and guitar, make her arrangements herself, wrote a book, sew clothes for herself (partly with art from her grandma like in her first AGT performance and in her music video "Shield"). So she is a real all-rounder and I think all her fans are eager to see and hear what she is doing next... All the other things like more recommendation, chronological playlists and so on you can read in the comments of the mega-fans like Fernando F., Rusty ... And a little Question: When you react to her cover "I put a spell on you" b/w studio version at 9yo (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pN12n9J0tb7ec6c.html - btw. she made most of her cover arrangements by herself!) it would be nice to react in the same reaction video IN ADVANCE to the original from Screemin' Jay Hawkins (from 1956 - Live: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdF3g8uh29fYf5c.html or another version of it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pdh-o6tnzt_Tm30.html and here a version from 1990 in Tokyo - I feel, this is like the version Angelina has taken as the model, but I don't know it ( ;-) ): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eMhplMppx8nMj4k.html or as Audio-Studio-Version: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bpiTl9FyutzXp2w.html) that's real fun :-D - and than you will find out that Angelinas cover is a real tribute to Jay Hawkins :-D Thanks a billion again for your reaction! … and see you soon with your next AJ reactions - with greetings from Berlin/Germany :-D Best regards Andreas

Thank you for your excellent first reaction to Angelina. I am always glad to hear the comments and perspectives of professionals such as yourself who know what they are talking about. I started following Angelina in 2014 during her Norway's Got Talent days and have been in awe of her ever since. After 40+ years as a music educator and performer (now retired), I can honestly say I have never heard or seen anyone quite like her. Over the years, I had the pleasure of teaching maybe two or three young people who I would consider to be prodigies, but Angelina is in a class by herself. Yes, she has amazing natural talent, but she has also worked extremely hard to get her to where she is today (she will be 15 on January 10). Her body of work on KZfaq is astounding and her new partnership with Republic Records looks extremely promising. But, what is equally impressive about her is the person she is. Her love and compassion for others is boundless and I am sure that, combined with her prodigious talent, will soon make her known throughout the world. There are many other excellent comments here that give you more information about Angelina. Please consider doing more reactions to her. So great to see Angelina sing live again, especially with this healing song in troubled times. The artwork she and grandma did for the original release was awesome, but this magnificent video is epic! I think this will rival her other B&W from years past. I'm so happy for her successes all these years, and I think she has found a great home at Republic for her talent. Her uncle Michael deserves a lot of credit too, and of course her mother Sara for her protection and sharing her with the world. One day I'll get my greatest wish, to see her sing in person. Angie’s fans will treasure this performance forever. And to Angelina I say, thank you so, so much for all the wonderful music you have given all of us over the years, and for your humanity for others less fortunate. She is good, isn't she? For me, my favorite singer. Hope you get the chance to react to (or, for your own sake, listen to) more Angelina. The fans will swarm, because we love it when someone new gets the chance to experience Angelina as we all did--- with surprise, awe and amazement. She is a treasure. Her mouth shape does play a role, no doubt, but her early jazz foundation is more significant when looking at her embellishments. Her vibrato has been stunning throughout her short career and it has changed as she has matured. But, it is a choice not a physiologically determined outcome. Her breathy voice, her vocal fry, her runs are all part of her early jazz base. It may be cursive but there is some calligraphy mixed in that makes her unique. She can comfortably change style and genre, often with exquisite results. Her fans will tell you...I'm a fan, so I'll tell you, Angelina is going to be a major player in the music scene (and in the arena of humanitarian causes) throughout the rest of your life, and beyond. You got lots of suggestions in the comments. If you only go through your email, I'm sure you'll get them there as well. This is worth your time. Listen or react, but Angelina will have you feeling music more deeply than you have. Enjoy! Happy New Year!

You have a new subscriber but BEWARE! This is a long comment. I hope you have the patience to read to the end. Thank you for discovering and reacting my favourite singer. My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven-year-old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7-year-old was still there, but the voice wasn't. Or was it? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on KZfaq and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener. As I have noted above, I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing. Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. If you go to kzfaq.info/love/hM_lpT4shdnsez93QMJPig you will find many rehearsals where, not only do you get to see her rehearsing but being the "ordinary" girl she is (if indeed one is able to apply that adjective to her). Most of her performances are recorded in her home studio, either with background music or a single guitar. Most are done in one take. She treats the whole thing as a hobby. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her" She is completely transparent to the world. Perhaps you would like to go back a few years and work forward. By doing so, you will come to the realisation that she is "unique" and I don't use that word loosely. There is truly no other singer who has her versatility and sheer ability to communicate the emotions of a song to her listeners. I doubt there is another singer who works so hard to ensure that, when she sings the song, it is sung in such a way that her listener becomes enmeshed in the emotions So, here a few recordings for you to consider. age 6 - First visit to a Recording Studio:I who have nothing: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNCBja5z1bzFlac.html age 7 - Norway's Got Talent - First Audition: Gloomy Sunday: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/btdngNSVq9XNkn0.html age 7 - Norway’s Got Talent - Judges' Cut-Off:I’m a fool to want you kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gr6boa-LqdW2hoU.html age 8 - Norway's Got Talent - Semi Final: Bang Bang: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mbl1gpZ6srzYc30.html age 8 - Norway's Got Talent - Final: Summertime: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/appjo6WE1d6Zcmg.html age 8 - Concert in Sweden - "I'll be there":kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jLB5qtmIydWzY6M.html age 8 - Charity Concert: At last: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bpdplbRqrpO4XZs.html age 11 - It’s Now or Never - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ntKZZMmm0J7egYU.html age 10 - Norwegian TV Production: Every time we say goodbye: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gbiDfJt50rqsenU.html One thing which several of the new reactors - and those who have returned to her have decided, is to follow her career from the start. Thank you for coming up with this original Angelina song and for the great new reaction. This is a very sweet and very intense song dedicated with infinite love to the missing grandfather and to all the people who have lost someone, but it's also a song full of hope, with beautiful lyrics, especially if you think it was written by a 14 year old girl, and her voice is so incredibly "made in Angelina". The first version of one month ago is whit the lyrics and the paints of her grandmother Mery, but this is the live version. She it managed to improve even more, just a few weeks after the original version was released, for which she definitely worked a little bit subtle differences compared to the first version and now it's even more exciting, even seeing her sing is priceless! A year has passed since her last public performance, at AGTC. It's really a help to cheer up the human soul and gives us an emotion that will accompany us during the new year. 🤗 ❤️ Angelina is not only what you saw in this fantastic performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, she sang about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and also her originals and the vast majority are interpretations with a single accompaniment instrument, piano, violin or guitar. Please also take a look at her 3 songs with which she participated in America's Got Talent Champion 2020, they are incredible for their arrangements and for the talent they showcase: "Bohemian Rhapsody" - Age 13 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gtmEe5Nju5-0pGg.html "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" - Age 13 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLyCirx20J64Y3U.html "Someone You Loved" - Age 13 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zs2fkrd60prOpH0.html or this insane reinterpretation in B / W of “I Put A Spell On You” - Age 9 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pN12n9J0tb7ec6c.html

thanks for reacting to Angelina. Angelina's vibrato is so natural for her that I think she can use it while eating a toast and singing at the same time. I disagree: I doubt Angelina will ever lose her breath mid sentence. I have never notice Angelina taking a deep breath before a strong part. Even when she was 9 she could hold a note forever without any problem (the end of "I put a spell on you").

First, Angelina's vibrato is like a natural feature of her singing voice. She doesn't have to flex a single muscle to create the beautiful effect. 2nd is, Angelina at a very young age has already a great breath control, if not mastered and already perfected it. She's already better than most pro singers twice or thrice her age in terms of vocal techniques and still learning and improving. She's one voice that the world has to hear I believe.☺️

Got here late so I'll make it short. I discovered Angelina 3 years ago & binge watched her videos for days until I had seen everything she had done. I have never see/heard anything like her in my 73 years. She emotes better than any other vocal artist I've seen. She gives me goosebumps every time & often makes me cry, sometimes I don't even know why. She is an amazing songwriter, but her gift to the world of music is her ability to take old iconic songs & totally re-arranging them to make them new & often better, IMO, than the original. Listen to what she did to Queen's iconic song, Bohemian Rhapsody. She turned a rock classic into a jazzy ballad. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mtSXqrlhstK2d3k.html

You seem very knowledgeable so I would really like to hear your take on something else from Angelina. This one is very good, but it is just scratching the surface of Angelina's incredible talent. I think you should check out something that is more "pure-live" (non-studio, one take, one camera)... If you look at the "Angelina Jordan Cover Channel" you will see a couple dozen videos in this format. (I recommend, "Stay", "Million Years Ago", "Young and Beautiful", or literally anything on that channel). I think these are going to be some of the best to show you just how legit this girl is. You were able to get a little taste of her sound with this one, but you really have not seen anything yet. This is one of the most versatile artist you will find, and she is going to surprise you over and over, with everything you see from her.

Great reaction. You need to hear more of her. She belts when the song needs it, and only then. Her technical skills are huge, but her musical instincts so solid she seems to sing every song as well as it can be sung. I've heard pretty much everything Angelina has on KZfaq, and the only time I ever heard her run out of breath was at the end of "Fly Me to the Moon" on The View at age 8. Her breath management is incredible.

DJ - Thanks so much for reacting to an Angelina video. I'm surprised you didn't go for "I Put A Spell On You" - also a B&W studio video. That one was done when she was 10 years old and will blow you away if you check it out. Angelina will turn 15 next week on Jan. 6th. I think she was 14 in this one. She did a couple of interesting videos when she was 12...I really like "Stay" and "You Were Always on My Mind" - that one was dedicated to her grandfather who had passed. It will tear you up, and she loses it a bit at the end, but it is worth the emotion to hear it. Those were just a guitar and her voice. You will find she has been producing quality recordings since she was 7....at 15 she already has an 8 year career behind her. She is one of my favorite singers. Loved the way you broke down her voice work and the background. You'll find that 'missed breath' is repeated in most of her recordings...she pushes herself to the edge; it is more of a technique thing she chooses. Thanks again DJ !!

About her singing in cursive, she is Norwegian and sometimes her accent shines through, she havent got a perfect english pronunciation all the time. Sometimes she is also slurring the words because of it. Together with her unique voice qualities and immaculate tecnique this does make her one of a kind, and really interesting to listen to compared to many englishmen/women and americans.

I really don't think her accent has anything to do with the annunciation choices she makes in her music. The musicality of the way a word is sung can carry much more meaning than the word itself. This is what it sounds like when a girl is crying about the loss of her grandfather in a song.

@@ek-1707 Angelina speaks perfectly good English and certainly knows the proper pronunciation. She does not mispronounce her words in her songs, she is modifying her vowel sounds for a desired effect. It is NOT a mistake, it is a CHOICE. When a singer modifies the vowel sound of a word they can change the shape of their mouth thus changing the way the word sounds. Most singers will occasionally modify their vowel sounds to varying degrees. These effects can be quite pronounced in jazz styes. Angelina will often color the sounds of her words to paint her music. Again, these are choices. You don't have to like her choices, just please, don't call them mistakes.

My friend, you just listened to the most unique singer in the world. "Normal" doesn't apply. She is not to be compared to another singer. Yes, newcomers will do that but once they hear enough of Angelina they will understand she sounds like, Angelina. You haven't recognized her versatility yet and you will shake your head when you do. She composed this song and it was about her feelings for her grandpa who had passed away. But, her intention was to also compose the song in a way so that people who have found themselves in a similar situation could find comfort in her song. As far as covers go, she has been rearranging them to make them "her own" since she was 9 years old. The jazzy, bluesy, soulful tone reaches into songs and, often times, people comment they actually like the cover more than the original. What? See what you think. "Happy New Year" and may all of us have a healthy and prosperous 2021!!!!!

Great reaction from someone that clearly knows a thing or two about music and vocals (unlike in many reaction videos). I'm viewing this at 1:50am on 10th January 2021 so a big happy 15th birthday to Angelina Jordan and I wish her many many more. Just another 130+ covers and originals to get through so enjoy the ride.

Thanks for your reaction and analysis here - great way to finish out the year. I recommend treating yourself and watching the wonderful lyric video that she released for this song a bit over a month ago. It features animated artwork from her grandmother and really brings out what she is singing about. (Just for yourself - no need to react as it is substantially the same musically). Since you haven't heard her before, I REALLY suggest reacting to her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody from America's Got Talent: The Champions back in January 2020. That is the performance that introduced most Americans to her and it is truly amazing.

Thank you TMA. That was a great reaction to (14) Angie & nice little breakdown.I give new Angie reactors a welcome pack, please read. She chooses all her own songs & does all her own arrangements ever since she was very young, even when she did Screaming Jay Hawkins “I put a spell on you” the B&W version, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pN12n9J0tb7ec6c.html at barely 9, even at 7 & 8 on NGT (Norway’s Got Talent). On AGT-C season 2 Angie made her outfit from silkscreen patterns of her grandma's art work when she was 13 back in Norway. She makes several of her other outfits for shows & concerts too. She also paints great, plays 5 instruments & speaks & sings 4+ languages, English being her 3rd. Angie turned 16 on 1-10-22. Angie is a very kind, giving, loving, respectful, humble & a big hearted Christian girl. She always sings barefoot when performing & she wrote a book about it at 9 called “Between Two Worlds” & she was/is the youngest to be published in Norway. (Why does Angie performs barefoot. Angelina gives a short little interview explaining why she performs barefoot. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y8lzf6eKlam3imw.html) Angie has arranged over 150 covers & written 5 songs & has had 2 written for her also so far, & she’s mastered over 10 genre’s already at 13. One of her nicknames is “The barefoot Angel/Princess with a 1000 voices & a Mona Lisa smile” & the “Queen of jazz”. Angie never sings a song the same way twice, so you could say they’ll all be 1st time reactions. Angie sings like an instrumentalist, combined with narrative music. Another reason she’s so especially rare & great. Angie is like a 2006 Bordeux in the Meroc but we’ll say Norway =) Her voice still wont fully mature for another 10-15 years. Then it can be opened. WOW , the aroma, color, texture & than we get to taste/hear it =) (About "Million Miles she wrote) Angie started writing this song shortly after her 2nd grandpa died in Nov. 2019, during the filming of the finals or semi finals (or just right after) of AGT-C, she was 13. Angie started to write this shortly after his death & recorded it in 2020 at 14, ( her 1st grandpa died in 2018). Republic Records Co-Founder and C.E.O. Monte Lipman heard her singing this song & personally chased her down to sign her to the label for he wanted to sign her ASAP, & they did finally at the end on Aug. 2020. Angie did some & her grandma Mery did most of the art for the (official lyric video). Angelina said, “This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine”. Stargate producer singer/songwriter Dakota posted on her Instagram regarding the collaboration with Angie, said “This girls talent is freakin insane.” Angie On AGT Champions at 13 singing her rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. & Queen was blowing away with it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bc2Bn82pyseypYE.html & even posted it. AGT semi finals “Goodbye yellow brick road” by Elton John kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ar5_gNaczLScp2g.html You'll want to check out kzfaq.info he has all of Angie's songs in order. (He has over 30k sub, this is so you’ll know which one) Angie has rearranged over 80 covers & written 4 songs & has 2 written for her. Maybe react to Laura Bretan too. On AGT audition “Dorma” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/brSThq6K0My1eKs.html Laura is 13 AGT Quarter finals “The Prayer” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbChYMhyrLfJpKM.html Laura just turned 14 AGT Semi Finals “Pie Jesu” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d5tgqKuE2N7UkWw.html Laura’s 14 AGT Finals “O mio babbino caro” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qNmegZdz1r-2n2Q.html Laura’s 14 Eurovision Romania “Dear Father Live Final” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdpkZdNjv8nMkqs.html Laura’s 16 “Adagio” by Lara Fabian kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gtenf6d9t9K4kYU.html Laura is18 Emotional rendition of Nessum Dorma & The Prayer kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nax9Z7Ce1b-vnKM.html she’s 14 These are just scratching the top of the iceberg she can even hit a high Eb7. Laura is 18 now & starting to take off in her career. When Laura won Romania's Got Talent in 2016, She donated half of her prize money (about 120,000 euros) to help the poor and underprivileged in that country. She has since gone on to do numerous concert performances and has released a number of singles. She donates half of the income from that to the poor and needy as well. She made it to the finals & she didn't sign with ATG just like Angelina Jordan & she got 6th place also. But now Laura & Angie bigger than AGT, In real life, she is a kind, loving respectful & giving Christian girl. She did great in Eurovision in 2019 also. She sings Operatic Pop/Christian crossover.

I recognize the mesmerized look on your face when you listen to her last belt. Still trying to be objective.. We've all been there. Since English is not her first language sometimes her pronunciations of words are uncommon. That is what you were hearing with "fight." One thing for certain. She NEVER runs out of breath. Listen to nine year old AJ in her last note in "l put a spell on you" or the James Brown cover "It's a man's world." There are many others. Sometimes she skips a breath even when she can take one!

Angelina Jordan's voice is so mesmerizing esp when she does powerful ballads like this,she wrote the song herself. Your 👀 just kinda stay glued to her because you don't wanna miss anything. That Christina Aguilera thing you mentioned,gave me both goosebumps and tears (weird I know) when I heard it,and I too am a sucker for the cello. She turned 15 two weeks ago 1/10,btw. Kudos to the Stargate duo for doing a fantastic job with the production,and kudos to you for a great heart-felt reaction. AJ is A-Mazing.

English not been my native language I hear some times that Angelina pronounce some of the English words differently than they supposed to be pronounced. We must remember that although Angelina speak English from when she was young, you can hear that that the words she pronounce differently than the normal English speaking person are closer to the pronunciation of her mother tongue Norwegian. In this particular song she put a lot of emotion in, more than she normally do because of the personal meaning of the song to her. You can see and hear her personal emotions while she is singing. Thank you for your reaction.

Johannes Angelina has been speaking fluent, unaccented English since she was 7 years old. The different pronunciations you're referring to are conscious stylistic choices that she adds. This is how she wants the words to sound. Nothing to do with with English not being her mother tongue or having a Norwegian accent.

The song, written by Angelina, is about the death of a grandfather with whom she was especially close. The breath phenomena you mentioned is a result of her emotional investment in the song. You should also listen to her sing in the lyric version of this same song. Angelina commented in an interview that tears were running down her face as she recorded it.

Always great fun to see a "newbie" react to Angelina, Thanks! Quincy Jones says she's the best new talent since Micheal Jackson, and invited her to sing "Fly Me To the Moon" at his 85th b-day celebration. She opened the show! She's been doing her own arrangements from the beginning, and re-writing lyrics (Amy Winehouse, "La Boheme") Oh! You'll get many more suggestions of what to listen to, but why not chose your favorite songs? She will shock you! kzfaq.info/sun/PL2v8kgVeo4EbQD6l_WAVjOfItquzW7oEc

Actually, Angelina has been singing and performing since she was 3 (she's just a few weeks from 15 in this video). She won Norway's Got Talent when she was 7/8. Her four performances on that show are about as remarkable as anything I have seen on a talent show, and I seen a lot. She has performed all over the world, and raised Millions of dollars for children's charities and environmental causes. She has a cover library of over 100 songs, and 6 originals, 4 of which she wrote (including this one). I am strictly a follower of Angelina, so if you decide to react to more of her performances, I will subscribe. When you say she is "singing in cursive" are you implying that you can't understand what she is saying? Because I have no problem at all understanding her. As a jazz technique, sometimes she blends words or adds nuances that aren't in the lyrics, but many jazz singers do that. She is very good at that, and I believe it adds to her likability. Wishing you a safe and Happy New Year.
