I'm mixed half Indian half white Canadian. I never learnt my dads language Punjabi. I'm so upset I don't speak or understand it. He's passed away a few years ago. His side of the family doesn't speak to me so I have no ties to it nor do I hear Punjabi very often anymore. I remember him playing this cd and singing along all the time. I can see his emotion and little dance in my memory. I love blasting this and just picturing my father. Miss him dearly. Love you dad. Rest in peace ❤❤

Many think that Ustaad Nusrat Sahab also wrote the lyrics of this gazal. However, it is written by the legendary poet Mohammed Musa Hashmi, also known as Purnam Allahabadi, who also wrote the qawwali 'Bhar do jholi meri ya Muhammad' which was made famous by the legendary and iconic duo Sabri Brothers. But Ustaad Sahab did compose the song. Eternal respects to all these legends 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

@@mem1001953 I can judge coz I'm descendant of Sufis myself. My ancestors were Sufi saints from Iran who migrated to India in 13th century. Sufis are basically Muslim individuals who have devoted their entire life and entire self to Allah Subhanahutalallah, who have detached themselves from all the Worldly life, all the materialistic life, just for the sake of their creator. Sufis sole purpose in their life is the worship of Allah (SWT), which is the most important principle of Islam. Like I said earlier, they are the most staunch followers of Islam Btw, are you are Muslim??

आपने मेरे दिल की बात कह दी मैं भी तकरीबन रोज ही सुनता हूँ । नुसरत साहब की गायकी की जितनी तारीफ की जय कम है अल्लाहताला ने गजब का हुनर बक्शा इतना भारी जिस्म होने के बाद भी कमाल करते थे इसके पीछे कमर तोड़ मेहनत रही है खान साब को सुर सिद्ध हो गए थे ये खुद ही लिखते थे और उसकी धुन तैयार करते थे संगत कर भी माशाअल्लाह बहुत अच्छे तैयार किये थे तबला हारमोनियम के अलावा दूसरे कोई स्टूमेंट्स नही बजे उसके बाद भी कमाल कर दिया अल्लाहताला इन्हें जन्नतेफिरदोष में आला मुकाम दे आमीन ।
