Avoir dans sa vie, joué avec ce formidable bassiste qu'est Guy NSANGUE (ce qui est mon cas) est une grâce de Dieu ! Il sourit tout le temps en groovant et en jouant d'une façon unique ! Quelle belles phrases il fait là ! Avec Thierry Arpino ,ce magnifique batteur ! Ils font un duo basse -batterie superbe ! Avec ce génial Jean Luc Ponty l'enchanteur !

This music was written by Guy N'sangue. The inspiration comes from makossa which is typically from Douala in South-West part of Cameroon. Mix of Jazz and African music always something really amazing.

Saw Jean Luc and his band a bunch of times between Santa Barbara and the SF Bay Area in the 80s and 90s. Such an incredible violin player with an inimitable style and sound...

The Bass Player, Guy N'sangue Akwa, The song was made after him, Mouna Bowa means the "son of the country" in his mother tong. The Melody was probably inspired by him also as the whole song and rythm is from central Africa, Cameroon, his homeland.

That has to be one of the most perfect live performances I've seen in my life. Great musicianship from all concerned and a tremendous camaraderie between the musicians. It's just a tiny bit of a shame that the bass guitarist didn't have his amp turned a little bit louder so that his solo could be heard in more detail, and with a little more volume, the deliberate feedback would have been audible. Amazing though and I could sit and watch this forever. Thanks for uploading :-)

Guy Nsangue has his signature all over this song ,growing up up in Cameroon like Guy ,I had an opportunity to hang out with him ,he is by far the most talented bassist of our generation. Makossa is the most popular music of Cameroon,music of the Sawa community, Douala and all its suburbs.

Alguien se dió cuenta de que el vídeo esta cortado entre el segundo 0:20 y el 0:21. Le falta una vuelta cuando arranca, este vídeo comienza desde la segunda vuelta cuando la melodía ya está en la octava alta. Una boludez igual, pero les aviso para los que estén sacando el tema de oído como yo. saludos!

Ce qui me plaît, entre autres, chez, lui, c'est qu'il n'a pas besoin de jouer avec une basse à 15 000 dollars. Il joue, c'est tout. Il a une basse pourrie, avec du sparadrap, et il t'envoie au paradis.

Il n'a pas l'air à l'aise, le Jean-Luc, il sent que Guy l'a éclaté. Ça se passe souvent comme ça, dans les groupes. Regardez Weather Report avec Zawinul et Pastorius.
