I was watching a show called The Repair Shop n a lady brought in a music box. I have music boxes but nothing like hers or this one. When they played it it brought tears to my eyes! I then came here in search of the song that once was a poem n found a man n he sang it. Again it moved me! Now it brought me here! How lovely this plays! Its magical! Truly beautiful! My late Grandmother looked just like the lady in 'The Ladykillers'! This was used over the credits at the end. My Dear mum used to love this tune as well - miss them both every. Thank you for the lovely tune.

Lovely to hear that again. It's my all time favourite, too. The last time I heard this was on a large, upright machine - would that have been a Polyphon? It was in a music museum. The owner even let me make a recording of it, which I still have. A truly wonderful sound.

I love Thomas Moore's works; very under-rated in my opinion. Very OTT arrangement, though. The melody appears almost lost in the mix. Thank you for sharing your lovely music boxes.
