@@Luis-eh1cf Hi these Speaker are very fun around ,treble sweet .the mids voice sound clear and soundstage is wide ,bass has extension but it dosent hit vey low overall very happy is a better speaker all around then the Kef meta

They’re badly treated by some people because Denafrips was not happy about them making better sounding components, even though they are using same supplier. I lost my trust and respect in those people so called reviewers (some).

@@MissPalorte No idea what ‘fever’ caps r inside. Don’t worry about it. (-; The speakers r very good and seem super transparent to upstream. A great box to build around. I really can’t hear a downside if one is looking 4 a quality standmount. Vocals r just so legible. Listening to some Dope Lemon I was easily able to pick out the verbiage to a line I had never noticed. Michael Franks Time Together is sublime, and these can’t be broken n yet. I suspect they will react well to added power but 40wpc of quality tube gear fills a big room easily off the 4ohm tap. They do ‘gently’ reveal the quality of the recording source, but I’ve not yet spun vinyl. The Knight 1 are not an overly analytical nor forward speaker, but I do think they will reflect what and how they r fed. They’ve got a rich, substantive tone, but that may be the tube amp and Athena preamp, SMSL VMV D2 dacs voicing coming thru. Electronics and Dub sound really good too. They’d b hard to move on from and would cost a fair amount to do so. Probably the best deal going as the original review noted. I got mine in a little less than a month after ordering and you miss accurate tracking info for about 3 weeks as they r on a ship. Everything worked out easily though, just b patient, no regrets. Fun stuff, really great clarity and musicality, they got body and soul. I’ve got my share of boutique caps in both speakers and conditioners and whatever they r they sound really good two days in. I don’t believe they cheated out on the inductors, resistors, or internal wiring. The binding post are boss but I already owned bidirectional cables so I haven’t tried singles with jumpers. Enjoy the music, it could be your last speaker, they r that good…

I feel these spks sound far far better than any Dynaudio at this px range. Always find dynaudio to sound nasal. Probably the higher end models less so but still apparent.

Being a Buchardt s400 MKII owner, I'd like to see this too.

The original Buchardt s400 didn’t impress me at all. Only the bass was impressive but find detail, transparency to be lacking. This knight 1 sounds more open even in this video.

I would not even compare them because Knight 1 is in different league for sound and build quality. You will need at least $3k pair of bookshelf speaker to compare them toe to toe, thanks

The Knight 1’s mid drivers r very controlled, they r not ‘long throw’, but tight. My pair r pretty far back and behave very well. I haven’t tried, such short distances, but don’t get the sense of any undo port chuffing. There is no boom. They r very airy and spacious sounding with a natural presentation. Mine sound great with either a 80 or 90wpc ss or a 40wpc tube setup driven direct from dac off the 4ohm taps.

This whole “amazing for the price” is quite depressing. So they’re not really amazing after all.

@@HotSause I have not seen the whole crossover to answer your question because part of it was covered under insulation.

i have come to the conclusion that speakers developed in the depth dimension sound better I think it has to do with the control of standing waves behind the woofer I know they are difficult to place in the room ...

Is xls encore much better than ls50 meta?

@@janulik9535 that's a good question, for nearfield either is ideal, I had the meta, loved em, but the encore can get much louder with less power, the ls50 will image better with more pronounced mids, the encore will be a little softer up top yet detailed, but can handle over 200 db no problem, the ls50 glasses out past 80 db really and chuffs on heavy bass notes, nearfield ls50, all around use and bigger rooms encore.

I would say direct competition in sound and build quality would be 805 D3 or Dynaudio Special Edition, Linton 85 is too slow and muffled, Model 5 is great if you like sealed type, Thanks

@@Tharbamar You say that Musician are superior to ATC SCM19 V2? If so, they are better than the Dynaudio Heritage. Because the Heritage and SCM19 V2 are very similar. I listened to them with Marantz Model 30 and found them similar. Are Elac Vela BS403 better than Musician? I listened to the Vela BS408 towers with Marantz Model 30 and loved their sound. To this day I haven't heard anything better than that. If I'm not mistaken the BS408 cost 5 thousand Euros and the Marantz Model 30 2,500 Euros.

@@higobatman With respect, he didn't say they were superior to the ATCs , he said that they were a "better buy" ( greater value). Eg they may have 5% less performance for 50% less money?..

@@bryanwilliams3665 Yes. The same thing happens between the ATC SCM19 VS2 VS Dynaudio Heritage. SCM19s play 95% of Heritage and cost 50% less than Dynaudio.

Much better speakers is resolution, soundscape and image, yes it will need a sub if you want to hear lowest notes, thanks

Hi welcome, I’ve or had all speakers from your list but as of right now I would choose Knight 1 over any speaker under $3k, if you like slightly darker presentation 1TDX is great, for open and wide sound stage with absolute refinement and resolution K1 is a best bargain and it has build quality like $5k speakers, thanks

Shipping will be expensive because each speaker weighs 34lbs without packaging. You are paying for about 80lbs package.

Received my pair a day ago. Super happy with the sound and build quality. They are quick and my old sub sounded muddy and boomy with them. Picked up a pair of SVS 3000 Micros and they blend in really nice. Letting them break in now before any more tweaking.

SCM19 can place closer to the wall but Knight 1 will need at least 12 inches away from the wall behind it, based on build quality, material and sound quality I would easily go with Knight 1 over many speakers, thanks

As I mentioned they sound great $550/pair class d Monoblocks but it just better with main amplifier. Sound is pretty dang good!

Parasound bass control is a bit loose. Highs are not as airy for my liking and parts built is not quite as good.

I would if they send me a sample, R200 is more impressive for the price and sound that you can get from Polk but none of it is in the same league as Knight 1 to be honest, thanks

I own the legend l200 speakers. They sound like the ls50s but less resolution and more warmth and a bigger soundstage. The ls50 sound more natural and clearer but the L200 sound bigger and have a bit more bass but not that much more. Personally I prefer the ls50s but the L200 build quality sound and price make it an easy recommendation. Also they are both equally efficient and in real world testing I ab'd them and yes they both use up a lot of power.

@@V1ralB1ack L200 and LS50 Meta are very close in prices in my region haha. I've got a AB 180w Amp, so should be np.

Currently Musician Knight 1 is the only bookshelf speaker I use in my main system, broadly saying there’re a lot good speakers but Knight 1 is just better in my system.

Other makers simply market the item at the higher price to attract the "Cork Sniffers" who aren't interested at the lower price(not exclusive enough.) Recently, I couldn't sell a particular guitar at $8000. I put it up to $14,000 and some wealthy collector paid the money... strange world.

Marketing costs, middlemen, shipping, margins, gross sales...all impact the retail price. Lots of examples of underpriced speakers and overpriced speakers relative to SQ. I wish $500 could get me the end game speaker I want...but it can't. But there are limits to what I will spend no matter how good a speaker, or amp, or dac is.

@@nc3419 I agree 100% with your viewpoint..A few products sold direct, punch above their price point. A few speakers are probably poor value too.....The reality is MOST products are AVERAGE at their respective price points , and you may prefer this one , while I may prefer that.. They are merely different, not better or worse . There is no "Best" DAC, Amp, speaker, yet people always ask:. What is the best? What is the greatest? I feel for the poor reviewers. They almost never say: " this is average, this is ordinary" .. although it probably is.. They have to excite the viewers/subscribers, keep manufacturers happy etc and seam to have to say " This is fantastic".. The reality is most things in the world are average including hifi components..

He implied the Knights were just as good by not directly comparing for half the money.

R series have nice depth and scale but it does not have space, dispersion and air like Knight 1 can bring, which can also produce total refinement and depth as good as any high quality speakers except for the lowest notes. I don’t know how much impedance will swing at certain frequency but average 4ohm rating is more accurate than my KEF R11, which average around 5ohm, it is way lower than 8ohm average rating from manufacturer.
