U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Kevin Ashley, a pianist with the 1st Marine Division Band, performs an original arrangement titled “Ode to Old George,” combining the “Marines’ Hymn” and “Waltzing Matilda,” at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, April 4, 2024. Ashley won the 2023 Staff Noncommissioned Officer Musician of the Year award. Ashley is a native of New Hampshire.
