In This Shirt - Lyrics
I am lost in a rainbow
Now our rainbow is gone
Overcast by your shadow
As our worlds move on
In this shirt I can be you
To be near you for a while
In this shirt I can be you
To be near you for a while
There's a crane knocking down
All these things that we were
I awake in the night to
Hear the engines pout
There's a pain it does ripple
Through my frame makes me lame
There's a thorn in my side
It's the shape it's the prize
Of you and me ever changing
Moving on now moving fast
And this touch must be wanting
Must become free to act
But I mean jape to tell you
That I love you and never rash
And I bled everyday now
For a year for a year
I did send you a note
On the wind for to read
Our names there together
Must've fallen like the sea
To depths of the soil
Buried deep in the ground
On the wind I can hear you
Call my name held the sound
I am lost
I am lost in a rainbow
No a rainbow is gone
I am lost in a rainbow
No a rainbow is gone
I am lost, I am lost
I am lost, I am lost
I am lost

its always the masterpieces that go under the radar and its saddening, Jamie (the lead singer) has one the most captivating voices ever, even when performed live without autotune he sings flawlessly, along with the meaning behind his songs and use of instruments, i can't fathom why he isn't as popular as he should be, this music is genre defining.

Jeff, thank you for reviewing this song. Some years ago I heard Jamie’s voice for around five seconds on a Royksopp song. I stopped my car and looked him up and found In The Shirt. He carried away all of my emotions, and by the time the crescendo came up near the end, he had returned them all to me and I wept. It was a very emotional time for me. I shared the song with my dear sister. She reacted nearly the same way. I hope Jamie reads my comment and others like it and makes more masterpieces. Your review was the epitomi of all that I experienced. Simply beautiful, isn’t it! -L

I'm 30 and love all types of music. There something in ever genre I would like. But rap is my favorite music. But I'd say this type of theatrical music is my next favorite. This song here has that transcending way to it. And that's what phenomenal music is supposed to do. Like the film interstellar. I think that score plays alot into how great the film is. Because the score is transcending. Music isn't just to hear but to be felt too. And this song does that perfectly. This makes me feel like how requiem of a dream score does. Same with Ludovico Einaudi Experience. They just take me to another place while I listen. And that's what a true musical masterpiece is to me.

Such a fantastic group, Jamie's got such a wonderful, mesmeric voice. The live shows are always a treat. "Mirror Mirror" was such a strong album front to back (aside from this song, "I'll Maybe Let You" and "The Tide" were my standouts), and his newest album "Superheroes" is really good too. And Jamie also does guest spots on some other bands' tracks, like Royksopp/ Just an overall underappreciated act. Great reaction, it's always a treat to see someone discover this band!

This song particularly reminds me to cinemátic orchestra - to build a home. But this one takes you to a darker place to finally lift You up. Also makes me remind to a song i think it was called nosjavelin, it was from the soundtrack of Vanilla sky

@@jmfz28 I can definitely see the similarities between this song and those. And yeah, the song you referenced from Vanilla sky is by Sigur Ros, called Untitled #4 (Njósnavélin), a great track off a classic album
