Oh man, I absolutely adore this song. The chord choices, the bass tone, the dynamics, the absolute technical ability on display.... They manage to be super approachable and poppy, but still throw in some serious jazz stuff.

I, like you, have spent my career playing music for over 40 years. And like you, I have listened to a ton of music from every genre and played with a ton of players both in and out of the studio. My first look at "Dirty Loops", I reacted exactly as you do...emotionally. The tears come from joy. These three gentlemen are complete and absolute masters of their instruments and voices. It lifts a musicians soul when hearing music that brilliant. I first saw you when reacting to "Loops", "Next To You". Just found you and will continue to look for you. Great job.

Great reaction. Excellent comments and your enthusiasm was just infectious. Man If you're watching "Work Shit Out" to catch up you have a lot of incredible music to listen to. Best news of all Dirty Loops & Cory Wong and friends have just dropped a collaborative album that is drop dead jazz funk perfection. The two must see (and react to, hint, hint) videos are "Follow the Light" with an other worldly bass solo and a mind blowing cover of MJ's "Thriller." They knock it into orbit. Much looking forward to accompanying you on your Dirty Loops "catch-up" journey.

@@StrateleStudios I'd personally recommend any of the following: "Rock You", "Follow the Light", "Thriller", "World On Fire", "Next to You", Henrik and Aron did a four song side project called "Songs for Lovers" Jonah appears on one cut and the project is great but is not really a Loops project. That said very worthy of a listen or reaction. Have a blast and looking forward to what you have to say. Oh and as previously mentioned Henrik has a short but amazing solo on "Thriller." If this doesn't grab you, you might want to check yourself for a heartbeat. Best wishes!!

Nice one. I recognise those reactions from when I first saw the clip. I've now seen it maybe fifteen times and it still blows me away. The rhapsodic piano solo kills me, Hendrick's bass tone is up there with Levin's and Aron's drums left my mouth open too.

Holy smokes that was a cool reaction video! Really hope you do more of their new stuff. This was one of five great song from their new EP. Then they have their instrumental ”songs for lovers”, like a treat for everyone during pandemic lockdown. And now theyve just released a colab album with Cory Wong. Jeff, this is my favorite "go to" review of yours for 2 reasons... 1st, you were pretty new to the DL sensation and 2nd I LOVE this piece of MUSIC for it´s absolute balance of beauty, power and sensibility.

I assume you're a musician? I say so because I am. Played professionally for most of career. I listen to these guys and I can 'hear' what they're doing but damn if I could be that good! These guys are sick with talent across the board.

First time viewer of your channel. LONG time lover of Dirty Loops. Great reaction video! You can tell which level on which a reviewer "gets" and understands Dirty Loops. Your real emotion is greatness! You have to react to some of their new stuff with Cory and horn section!! Their Thriller cover is awesome! Did you know they are managed by Quincy Jones?? Btw... the piano solo part is highly influenced by the compositions of Pat Metheney and Lyle Mays. Just a brilliant rendition. I subbed because of you having the same "on point" fun as me hearing good music ;-) To give you same level of goosebumps you may give Snarky Puppy "Lingus" a listen, that thing is also burning like hell.

@@StrateleStudios I grew up with and stole everything from Mark King, Casiopea bassists, Mezzoforte and other freaks from other galaxies on the bass. It was "important" to show some skill with the thumb back then. Then it became "too much" and I picked up the likes of Billy Sheehan (and Brand X, Dream Theater etc.) ... oh dear ... Enough material to work on in the rehearsal room for a few hours! 😁 Then I developed my vocal and went into more pop-ish entertainment/dance type of music: More gigs = more money in the pocket! But I never gave up admiring these superheroes: Henrik Linder somehow makes it look fairly easy to be the rock-solid "base" ... yeah, well ... as a bass is supposed to ... but at the same time put in all the "flashy stuff" without suddenly taking over the overall picture of the musical landscape. I don't know if that is even English or if you understand what I mean. He is sooo down to earth, fulfills the role of a stinking tight funky bassplayer but is at the same time capable of all the neck-breaking make-the-ladies-scream-or-faint ... stuff ... Okay. Let me try this: He is absolutely outstanding! 👌👌👌

@@stefanholbek2449 very well said! I totally understand your journey and you are dead right about Henrik as I mention all the time how he “flies under the radar” with the runs. Simply masterful. Don’t forget he had a different starting point than you and I did. This makes a huge difference and why he is as good as he is. Your experience is priceless. Even though you may not play like him your talent and ability is forged solidly from years of absorbing incredible music and you have a voice of your own. Keep doing what you do, brother!
