Nice surprise isn't it. Right Lovebites are formed 2016 in Tokyo from ex Destrose band members Miho the bassist and composer and Haruna the drummer. The other members are Asami the vocalist and songwriter, Midori the lead guitarist and backing vocals with the blonde hair and Miyako the other lead guitarist and pianist and composer with the black hair. Lovebites are the winners of the 2018 year in category for best new metal band. The band is influenced by 80s metal from bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Halloween, Metallica, Slayer. Their last album Electric pentagram is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. They are the best all female power metal band in the world at the moment. They like to touring in Europe I've sow them already twice in Wacken Germany and UK 2018 and 2019 year. This song was from their last concert Five of a kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo from this year and all the concert is mind blowing stuff. Have to check more songs from the same concert like Holly war, Rise some hell, We the United, Shadowmaker, Rising, Break the wall ,Hammer of wrath, Dancing with the devil, Swan song, Edge of the world. Its just unbelievable, you gonna see what both guitarists Midori and Miyako doing on the stage no words to describe. Musicianship and chemistry is unmegerable. Lovebites are the real deal.They look like supermodels on the catwalk and play a full 90 minute plus gig, playing their instruments, moving around the stage, headbanging and changing the pedals on their effects boards wearing four inch high heels and do not break sweat, not even Haruna the drummer. I can't image any male band doing that. I would put them up against any male metal band (including Iron Maiden) and I think they would probably slay the opposition with their technical ability, songwriting skills and live performance.. Lovebites' members are not girls they are five well-educated, sophisticated women, all around thirty years old, who are also very talented musicians at the top of their game and play metal for the love of the music. They do not need tattoos, or multiple piercings, nor ragged jeans and T-shirts, no gurning while soloing, no drug or alcohol problem, they play for the love of the music not the metal life style.

Drummer: Haruna, 4'9", has been called the "pocket nuke", she basically keeps that up for an entire near-two-hour show. She and Akane of Band-Maid are completely different in style but I would rank them top-2 rock drummers in the world today, especially with the passing of Neil Peart.

Found them on their first release/single video Don't Bite The Dust in 2017. 4 full Cds, 1 EP and 2 live DVDs later, I've bought them all upon release. They are the best power metal band since Maiden/Priest. They are and have proven themselves to be the new power metal gods, NO ONE comes anywhere close to their perfection, in the studio or live. IF this is your first time hearing them, you haven't heard nothing yet...lol And unlike the others, all their stuff is 100% English lyrics/vocals.

What did you expect from the band name LOVEBITES ? Hula hoop girls from Hawaii ? Now you have metal woman from Tokyo. Carbon Steel Maidens would have been the better name. Interesting: Japan is the only country that has 2 nuclear-powered pocket drummers : HARUNA from Lovebites and AKANE from Band Maid.

Great reaction. Miho (bass) founded the band with Haruna (drums). She wrote the lyrics and co-wrote the music with Mao who is their programmer. He also does some keyboards when Miyako has to play guitar. Once I read the lyrics it was evident this is one of their most metal songs. Reminds me of either old martial arts movie or The Bride from Kill Bill Vol I/II. Very big thrash influence on this thinking Metallica and Slayer. Miyako's end solo is classic Kirk Hammett with the Wah pedal. Miho was heavily influenced by Iron Maiden and founder Steve Harris. She uses a lot of his style and technique while adding her own wrinkles in. The first solo was by Midori and I hear some Randy Rhoads in part of it. Looking forward to more of your reactions. i wasn't expecting this - those are usually the first words heard about LOVEBITES on first reaction. you have not even scratched the surface. EVERY song epic beyond belief. keep going with them and i promise you will not be sorry. every member is a top tier instrumentalist and miyako -right guitar player - is a piano prodigy since age 3 and plays keyboards in quite a few songs with her guitar slung to the side. and she writes almost all of the songs. you are going to be very busy with this band. i would leave a link but just pick any song. holy war , scream for me , shadowmaker , empty daydream , we the united , epilogue , when destinies align , raise some hell , are all songs you will want to hear. most amazing band of beauties on the planet

This was the first song of the show. The uniform jackets come off after this song. Then they look like bridesmaids who kicked out the reception band and took over. Haruna, the drummer, is only 4'9". Miyako, the guitarist with the Les Paul, is the tallest at 5'2". They say they wear white because it makes them look bigger on stage. The next song of the show "Holy War" is also available on KZfaq. Welcome to Lovebites. After 5 songs you might agree with my usual statement - currently the best band out there. I'd go in dept about them, but some already mentioned few things, mostly accurate :) Maybe on another song. They can play anything from power and trash metal to best ballads you'll hear - Epilogue, Signs of Deliverance (dual guitar overhand tapping is a must see), Edge of the World, Swan Song and so on ... out of their three albums you'll most likely wont found a single song that isn't in the range of darn good to epic. As for Japan, oh my ... you can easily have 100 reactions to the more popular all female and mixed bands. That is without the all male and Visual Kei. All female: Scandal (a mix of soft rock/rock/hard rock/punk/ska/pop rock/reggae/jazz), Nemophila (new but supergroup, mostly covers, few original), Band-Maid (best hard-rock band out there), Doll$box/Gacharic Spin, Mary's Blood (guitarist is in Nemophila as well), Aldious (you guys forgot to add Marina to the drummer lists ... Terry Bozzio is her step dad for freling sakes :), Trident, Passcode and about 40-ish more, at least. Mixed: BabyMetal, Unlucky Morpheus, Asterism, Wagakki Band and again a whole lot more. I've been into J-Rock since 2017 so it is really awesome to see all the new reactors discovering all these amazing bands, especially all female who can easily outplay most western bands. Impressive for an opening number :-) The ladies ditched the 'Sargent Pepper' jackets after this first song. They where white on stage for their concerts to stand out on stage and it certainly works. You have received plenty of suggestions for other live material from them. They also have several music videos. Some of which have a short promotional break in them. Please avoid reacting anything from the Bloodstock, gig they did as the audio, through no fault of Lovebites, is very poor.
