PLEASE; support Angelina by attending the on-line Christmas Concert on Dec 23, 2021. Angelina Jordan is the most talented person I have encountered in my 74 years of experiencing great music. From 6 to almost 16, she has been amazing people with her unbelievable talent. As of Dec 2021; her social media presence is equally impressive as she’s racked up over a billion KZfaq views, and 2.5 billion Facebook views, and has garnered praise from Time, CNN, BBC, and People. She has now done the song “Mercy” in the soundtrack of “Hating Game Movie” that just came out. There is just no end to this girl’s versatility.

Very sincere reaction, without getting lost in praise or fear of praise. She defined Angelina with one word: SOLID. It's really how I see her too, good at everything she does, huge technical knowledge and always expanding; impeccable charisma and personal presentation ! , ability to thrill and captivate your listeners and above all: Lots of class.

Angelina is definitely inspired by Adele. She has covered her more than she has covered any other artist. I think Angelina is always looking to challenge herself.. Whitney, MJ, Amy, Billie Holiday... these are all big challenges, and Angelina steps up every time, and covers them in a way that I think they would all be proud of.

When Adele sings a ballad you get a non-jazz like presentation, whereas Angelina, being rooted in the jazz genre, can thereby create a more passionate release in her vocals that permeate the furthest depths of the inner soul. You also have to realize as a chameleon ability to mimic any artist and she will use elements of Adele in these ballads, but she also incorporates nuances like the 'breathy air' releases she learned from Billie Holiday, as well as the 'raw' inflections that Amy Winehouse used to totally redefine the jazz genre. It's a 'raw' quality that allowed her to move radically, either up or down, in specific sentences while using a 'slurred word' technique which Angelina also uses when it suits her. In essence, you are getting 'four artists' in one as you absorb this song and that is something I have never heard another singer do.

These 2 are great together. Adele is an amazing singer/songwriter. Angelina at 15 is able to take this song to the next level. She just emits more emotion and feeling than anyone else.

It’s great to hear the perspective of another singer on this. Yes, there are phrases or intonations where Angelina sounds like Adele’s original, but I think it’s like a lot of her covers where Angelina pays homage to the original singer. You can hear it all through her career starting with the way she channeled Billie Holiday at seven years old, but still made it her own song. Same with I Put a Spell on you at 9, or Bohemian Rhapsody at 13-or many others. This song gives Angelina the opportunity to show us the range of her vocal abilities, and she uses them appropriately to deliver the lyrics-not to show us what she can do. My only quibble with you is that I really love Angelina’s early performances. There’s no question that she has honed her vocal skills to world class now, but the way Angelina delivered those songs before she was 10 showed thar no one realized what a child singer was capable of doing across multiple genres. I don’t compare young and old(!) Angelina. She still captivates me at any age-even though I listen to her everyday.

I just recently got around to watching her latest TikToks, and I must say, her rendition of "Love Is a Game" (another song from Adele's latest album) hit me *really* hard - the hardest, in fact, since the live concert version of "When We Were Young" (yet another Adele song), from two years ago (which I have been calling my favorite AJ performance since I first heard it in early 2020). I was not a fan of Adele until I heard Angelina do some covers of her songs and now, I am a fan of AJ doing Adele covers. Angelina can cover anyone and make their songs an absolute dream work, and she is not locked in to jazz she can sing any, and everything.. As usual; AJ has taken this to an ethereal level she is without a doubt a genius. There is something that is so special about AJ and It is not just her wonderful voice; it is her total being that draws one in. Remember she is only 15 but has been astonishing people since she was 6 years old.

I never feel like she's trying to outshine or steel from other artists, but simply putting her signature style and soul on great songs. And because she is such a talented and instinctual singer she just amplifies the songs.

The good ones borrow but the great ones steal. She is like a musical sponge. It's a classic thing for a young artist to try everything and then keep the things that are right for them. We get to watch a great artist in the process of finding their own style. It's really fascinating.

Great observations Andrea. Thank you. Beyond this being a wonderful cover, the production of this song was completed within around 3 days from Adele's release. This just shows that Angelina is teamed up with a group of music experts who are a part of Republic Records' well-oiled machine. Strongly indicates just how much priority they give their favored artist.

Four years ago, and still trying to figure it out. In music, it's known there's little secrets in Jazz. Another world almost. She just walked up and took it! This is all art and no competition in art (But there is) of all the greats, many have never herd of. But Angelina has something different that make a performance 3D and with just her voice. How many performer's in history did what she did, not just once! "Historical moments" she has several of them! her vocal effects are one thing, just like the work cholic professional drive at 9? But remember. Your beautiful like her and you have a great voice and in my opinion, top 10 or better! Your lower reg. was great and now it's WOW! Do something with that now and hurry! The opening of this video the last little vignette that is Angelina's Grandma Mery Zumani. She has been Angelina's muse and partner in crime since the beginning. Mery has just been getting back after having surgery for cancer. There is a video I'll give you the link of the family at the hospital before and after. Anyway I think this was her first time back at her post of riding shotgun on Angelina's day to day. That is why that little scene was so poignant of them just being glad to be there. As to the song she has added depth to her vocals, I think what she and her family has just gone through may have something to do with it. That type of growth only comes from the pain in life. Piano and cello are good instruments to complement female vocals especially. Plus, it is classy and hearkens back to that era of classy lounge performing. I hadn't heard this song until I heard Angelina. Then I checked it out with Adele, and learned she wrote it for her son, like a letter to her son. Just love the compassionate story telling that kept the integrity of the original by Adele. 💜

What a great cover one of my favorites by her. But I just found another that I don't believe you have reacted to. Her Cover of Lionel Ritchie's song Endless Love she shows off every level of her singing ability. She has her signature breathy high pitch tone, does her strong belting and down to her low registry that you love. Personally I don't need it to be a compare contrast. You have said what I felt .. you thought it was classy and done with good taste etc etc.. I know from the stuff you said as she was singing, that she touched you .. made you feel something. To me that is the stuff that matters. Angelina is not doing this - ever - to be better than the original artist or writer or both. She loves Adele and is honoring her by singing her song. I watch Angelina covers every single day and I can attest that she does all she can to honor the writer and original singer. If you watch her more you will see it yourself. She does have a couple of other Adele covers. Million Years Ago, which is brilliant, and All I Ask, which is beautiful and vulnerable. I think there are more but I don't remember them at this point.
