I saw him last Saturday live in Prague,almost 3 hours of concert where he sang, danced, played dombra and drums, sang the Happy Birthday song to a woman from the first row, he was joking, running around, climbing, jumping....and his voice was amazing the whole time! Dimash is fluent in his native Kazakh, and Russian but his English is getting better and better. He speaks a little Mandarin but finds it difficult. However, he has performed songs in 15 languages. He is the best in the world. Very humble down to earth respectful man also.

I was 2 weeks ago in Düsseldorf, Germany at his concert i waited for 2 years for. It was mindblowing,3 hours with his voice and as a person so humble and love for his dears. Yes, this man is a genius. He gets the best out of a song. And his original songs ... they are all a blast. Especially his collaboration with composers Igor Krutoy is an absolute dream. I was lucky enough to see Dimash live in Düsseldorf a few weeks ago and I am still raving about him, even though there were one or two small technical problems during the show. Did you see that every time he raised hiss hand he had a black ring on his index finger. Every thing you see and hear is viturally on purpose. Singing in a foreign language is NOT the same as speaking a foreign language. Most singers learn songs phonetically, plus learning the meaning of the lyrics and where emphasis is required, emotion, etc. They usually know what they are singing about and what to try to convey. Dimash, from Kazhakstan, a former USSR country, speaks Kazakh and Russian. He learned some Chinese during the 4 months of this Singer 2017 competition and during a following sojourn in China, a year, maybe two. He has learned some English and his pronunciation of English in singing has continually improved.

So Dimash was on a Chinese singing show kinda like The Voice but all professionals. Also on this show was a Chinese performer named Hua Chen Yu, you should check out some of his stuff. You should go back and watch the version from this show with English Subtitles where it shows Dimash's dad is in the audience audience and he didn't even know it. He had flown from their homeland of Kazakhstan. It is touching and shows how humble Dimash is and how much he loves his family!
