Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? Dimash is born in 1994, May 24, height: 1.91m; 6'3 '. He has been training in music since he was 5 years old. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’, having achieved a perfect pitch. He has composed 12 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Doctor Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃 Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin (dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him). So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, has a perfect pitch. Experts consider Dimash a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he sings his high notes not as a countertenor, but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano. His current range is almost G0 - D8 (out of piano)! At least, that show us Dimash. 😃 Dimash's 'heavenly' vocal abilities from bass to coloratura soprano are not limited to the enormous range of seven octaves, but it is the incredible control and mastery of his instrument, his voice and the emotional touch of people ... that fascinates and surprises us again and again ... This was a historic moment and this is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (This is what Dimash calls us fans.) This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight. In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old) and the first non-Chinese. Foreign participants were actually forbidden until then. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. Despite Dimash's planned brief presence, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. Dimash was given the Chinese name Dimashi and the 3 syllables were assigned Chinese hydroglyphs: Di - achievement Ma - precious stone Shi - dream, wish. This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". Dimash is a Kazakh competing with some of China’s best accomplished artists, and being judged by their peers. So it was the first song of the first episode and he had to be very good to stay in. Back in 2017, he was 23. This song shut down the Chinese internet that night with 12 million views I think it was, and he woke up next morning to having guards outside of his door, who accompanied him everywhere for about 3 months, the duration of the I Am Singer Competition.

SOS d'un terrien en distresse is a song composed by Michel Berger and written by Luc Plamondon in 1978 for Starmania, a Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera. It was performed for the first time by Daniel Balavoine and is considered one of the most difficult French songs to perform.

BTW....he also does whistle notes in the 7th and 8th octave. He just sings in the sixth octave, no whistle needed.
