This Northlane reaction is genuinely my first time ever hearing their song "Plenty". Rarely am I so confident in saying something is a banger so fast out of the gate, but as you'll see from my reaction throughout... this was delicious.

When I do my reaction videos I don't press pause because I don't want to interrupt the natural flow of the music as it was originally intended by the artist. I try to vocalise my thoughts in real time as I listen to the song, and then summarise my reaction afterwards.
You can checkout the artist's original track without my commentary here: • Northlane - Plenty [Of...
Please do recommend songs or other artists for me to checkout in future by commenting on this video! I'm constantly on the lookout for great new music and things I've never heard before.

When a track finishes and you think: "I'll just go back and listen that bassline (or whatever) again", you know you've got a winner. Loved that. Based on what you were saying I'm going to be really interested in what you think of Kardashev when you get round to it!

I love Northlane. This track is a banger. Glad I got to listen to it for the first time here 😁 I love how airy the production nis here. It feels so spacious and atmospheric. Marcus's vocals are on point. It sounds like he's screaming across a canyon and it works so well. There's something simultaneously organic and digital about their sound. Really cool. This is going on my playlist fer sher 🤘 Cheers, Steve! Hope you feel better. Edit - I gotta finish listening to your reactions before I comment. You said the same thing about screaming from a distance 🤣

I’m honoured to hear you had your first listen of it here. I kind of assume, clearly incorrectly, that people listen to a song elsewhere first and afterwards look to see what someone else’s reaction was like. I guess this way it could feel that we’re both listening for the first time together perhaps. That’s a cool thought. But yea, amazing song this one. Love it.

Have you heard anything from Shinedown? Cause they also just released a new song called planet zero😌 They're more a hard rock band than metal and they are actually who got me into rock and inevitably metal further down the line 😂

Quick suggestion. Once you are feeling better and in the mood for a catchy pop artist music video with lots of energy, a great beat, and apparently a blank check for production costs, try Lisa-Lalisa by Blackpink. I mean, it does currently have 416 million views so that is a plus...

Hey bro just found your channel and I’m loving your reactions! You can tell you love good music and appreciate talented musicianship. Could I make one request? So among the other reactions you’ve done, I saw one Pentatonix video you’ve done, but that one doesn’t quite show off the full breadth of their talent. I would be very very interested in hearing your thoughts on their video “The Evolution of Micheal Jackson”. Because not only can they sing (obviously) but the bass, the beatboxing, the syncopation, the arrangement, the transitions… all live in studio in one take ☝️ It’s absolutely incredible what they’re able to remember and pull off together. And from what I’ve seen so far from you, you would definitely appreciate this video. Also their Beatboxer (Kevin Olusola) is a one man talent machine himself lol he had a KOver video of Marian Hill’s song Down. Where he sings the lyrics, beatboxes the rhythms and plays a solo on his electric cello. Yeah Kevin has a degree from Yale, fluent in Mandarin, played Sax and Cello at Carnegie Hall and invented CelloBoxing. His talents are endless. Hope you watch it and enjoy bro keep up the great work!!

Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this. While I think they did some fun things with this track, it was fairly middle of the road for a Northlane track in my opinion. Marcus was great, guitars had some fun riffs and drums had some interesting rhythms but overall it didn't quite hook me in. I'm sure after a few more listens I'll learn to like it a bit more but Clockwork and Echo Chamber definitely packed more of a punch for me. This sort of track is quite interesting though because it's getting a very mixed response from what I've seen and it opens up more discussion than a track that's blatantly very good or bad. Thanks for the reaction and insight! :)

Fair I think that there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of depth to the song. Maybe that contributes to the lack of hooking you in. It’s just a very appealing overall sound they’ve delivered I think with a cracking guitar riff. I loved it.
