Excellent questions Robert. I use the Vocal Rider at the end of the chain to mimic a real life studio/analog setup where my volume fader is the final gateway to the master bus. All processors would have been visited by then hence I'm just managing the final level after processing. Hope that makes sense. As for the ALM function on Nectar, that's the one shortcoming I believe the plugin has. I really don't like it. On previous versions there was a dedicated Limiter module as part of the suite which has now been removed which is a shame in my opinion. Anyway thanks for the feedback and questions. Cheers 😀

Absolutely. The processing modules in the Elements suite are very good and will give you some great results. Another fantastic all in one vocal processing suite is the Waves CLA Vocal plugin which I have covered previously. Definitely worth looking at and is on sale. You are absolutely right. That was an unfortunate oversight. The reason for that particular setting was I already had an idea of what average level would work for this vocal track in this mix having spent time on this song previously. I’m glad you pointed this out as decision which was not made clear. Thank you 👍🏾
