The creation of this song told by the man himself, Igor Krutoy. (Taken from his IG) Igor: One evening, about three months before the "New Wave", Dimash called me and asked if I could write "Ave Maria " for him, explaining that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally I had a free evening and I gladly sat down at the piano and, remembering the Italian formula of responsibility, worked with inspiration until I achieved the desired result. . . After taking a few days for the composition to "rest" in my ears, soul, and heart, I sent it to Dimash, who literally within half an hour answered that it was exactly what he wanted to hear. And of course, the reception and applause given to Dimash by the audience at the "New Wave" show what happiness it is to do what I love, to write for such a genius singer, to evoke deep emotion in the audience, and to be in demand... Just a short essay on " What is happiness?"

The song titled “Ave Maria “ is worth and is your obligation as a listener. It was written by a catholic composer when that religeon was church and state. All the well known composers of those centuries were catholic write their music for and in the Catholic Church no matter their affiliation. Ave Maria was an Aria, an opera. The versions made from it are given liberties in the classical world to rewrite the piece and sing the piece to fit the voice of the desired singer no harm done. The song, a prayer honoring the Virgin Mary is not religious but rather criptural and spiritual as most chritian faiths honor Mary. Dimash nor Igor have a Mary. Think about the number of times Dimash might have been asked to sing this song, but he wouldn’t because he’s Islam. With Igor version it’s so spiritual and universal. This is a real miracle to vocalize it and neither compromise their faith. I have so much faith in Dimash and Igor for presenting faith and spirituality in this way. Research this.'i

I’m sorry dear, but part of this simply isn’t true. Dimash sang the Ave Maria in the heavenly interlude in Love is like a Dream. Prayers to Mary are part of Islam, so why wouldn’t he sing one?

Thank you for your reaction. Dimash asked Mr. Krutoy to compose this Ave Maria. Dimas is of Muslim faith , Mr Krutoy is if Jewish faith & this version is for Humanity. This is NOT a Christmas song - it's a classic that's been interpreted by over 200 different singers - this was written by Igor Krutoy for Dimash as a prayer for all nations - Ave Marie-Chrisitan song, Igor- Russian Jew and Dimash- Muslim. There are no words- this is called a vocalise~

Surprise...not a Christmas song..lol. Dimash wanted a prayer for the world, so he called up Igor Krutoy and this is the magic they made. A Christian hymn, composed by a Jewish man, and sung by a Muslim man. Truly, a prayer for the world This “Ave Maria” is a variation adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note. At the end, the advanced vocal technique: “Messa Di Voce “ (from Italian Bel Canto technique) at the last note sustained 15 seconds on the note C6 . Swell, increase and decrease the volume but don’t change the pitch, it is extremely difficult and only pro vocalists with years of training can do it. Singing on whistle and super head voice with SOFT SOUND IS SO HARD TO DO, harder than loud whistle note!

This version of Ave Maria, was never intended to sound like the original version, this is Dimash and Igor's take/version. I can't take my eyes and ears from the screen when I hear this, it's so Angelic and perfect, it plays with your heart and soul. There are not many people who can do that to you with music and their voice.

The popular misconception is that there is only one song called Ave Maria. In fact throughout history there have been over 600 Ave Marias written. It's a bit like thinking that Lionel Richie's Hello is the same as Adele's Hello. Dimash asked Igor Krutoy to compose a completely new Ave Maria for him and this vocalise version written by a Jewish composer and performed by a Muslim artist is the perfect vehicle for a non denominational Ave Maria that brings a sense of divinity to all regardless of what race or religion you are.

To answer your question, Ave Maria is Latin. It's the first part of a Catholic prayer that begins, "Hail Mary! Full of grace..." The Ave is 'Hail.' There are many different arrangements of the song. This one was written by Igor Krutoy, specifically for Dimash to sing. You often hear it a Christmas time, usually performed by opera singers. Luciano Pavoratti and Andrea Bocelli both have beautiful versions of this on various albums. So do a number of other talented singers.

Ave Maria is latin for Hail Mary. So its a Catholic prayer, though not the original name or words of the first compostion. The music was adapted by the Catholic Church to the words of the Hail Mary and there have been many composers and different renditions with the same name and lyrics. Here Igor (Jewish) composed a new version of a Christian song for Dimash (Muslim) to perform as a vocalise for the world.

According to Wikipedia historians believe Ave Maria emerged as a prayer around 1,400 years ago, then became a staple in churches, eventually put to music. There are thought to have been hundreds of versions of the music and words. A central theme of Ave Maria is the Archangel Gabriel appearing to the Virgin Mary to let her know she was going to give birth to the Son of God. I think Dimash absolutely nailed sounding like Gabriel -- and I'm not even religious!

Ave Maria is Latin for Hail Mary. It is a Roman Catholic prayer to the Virgin Mary. Schubert composed this song in 1825, which has since been followed by versions from Bach, Gounod, Caccini and others. Dimash’s Ave Maria is a vocalise composed by Igor Krutoy per The singer’s request.

Dimash was not singing the “Ave Naria” that you are used to hearing. Igor Krutoy wrote this for him. Igor is the person who was playing the piano. What Dimash did was called vocalizing, not singing. 😊

This vocalise is a universal prayer for all people who strive towards the light.😍 In the beginning and end, instruments mimic sounds recorded from deep space by NASA. This lends an otherworldly feeling so that once Dimash opens his mouth, we float away on the perfection of his voice. Dimash insists that he is just a regular guy but that is exactly what an Angel would say.👍 🥰🥰Hugs from Canada🌹🦭🇨🇦

The song was adopted by Christians? Ave Maria was origionally composed by Cassini, and experts can'teven agree on that. Yes, there have been hundreds of versions and adaptations since then. So you can't exactly state that Christians 'claimed' the song. The Ave Maria that most people know has been unchanged for a long time. This arrangement is purely based on two lines of the Cassini version. Dimash never said that this is a vocalise to include all religions. Certainly nobody said the sounds mimic deep space sounds that were recorded by NASA. If it reminds you of it, then that is perfectly fine. But we can't state that this is a religious vocalise nor that parts are based on NASA recordings. Please be careful of comparing Dimash to a heavenly being. It is haram in Islam.

And it depends on which historical or astronomy info you are using to decide when Jesus was actually born. March is just one of the better choices. September corresponds better to the stars. The poetic reference had something to do with the Avalon Lake priestresses from the late 1700's.❤️

Catholic churches use it for pretty much any service. As a nonCatholic, I hear it most on Christmas recordings. Dimash made it suitable for all listeners.

On the other side Schubert’s music composition (a lead) in 1825 was called Ellens dritter Gesang, based on a Walter Scott poem “The Lady of the Lake” and it was not Intended to be a religious piece originally. The Ave Maria as it is mostly known was an arrangement made a long time after.. This particular piece was composed by maestro Krutoy specially for Dimash voice, by his request, which is indescribable beautiful and moving ❤️🎤🌹🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏👏

A song without lyrics ia called a "vocalise", and nobody does it better than Dimash. This brand new version of "Ave Maria" was composed by Igor Krutoy (the pianist here), especially for Dimash. Just a beautiful performance...as usual. btw: Nice reaction, sans your ending "howl".

Dimash es el mejor, el único cantante sin decir una sola palabra te transmite y te llega directo al corazón, solamente un ahh para llevarte al cielo y traernos de vuelta y ponernos la piel de gallina, eso hace un verdadero intérprete, transmitir, si los ángeles cantaran lo harían como DIMASH, me encantó mucho su reacción estuvo muy divertida y me encantaron todos sus comentarios , me gustaria que para la próxima tuvieran presente Adagio o Your Love, saludos desde Venezuela

Igor Krutoy, the pianist, composed this version of Ave Maria for Dimash, it's called vocalizing. He did the same thing with another song Igor composed for him, Know. Only "Know also has lyrics.

This Ave Maria was specially composed by Maestro Igor Krutoy for Dimash. It is probably the most beautiful Ave Maria ever written. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Bravo Dimash and Maestro Igor Krutoy.
