The only certainty during the pandemic was a shortage of toilet paper and a Home Free video weekly or every other week. Home Free made the pandemic bearable. Thanks guys! 🖤🍟

Home Free’s Patreon members basically supported them and kept their team employed during the pandemic lockdown to the tune of $45-50K per video. There was some scrambling at first to get the mics, software and home recording setups so they could record their tracks with Darren and to sort out their video clips with Jimmy Bates. And they continued to work really hard to put out a video every other week…pure joy for us and definitely something to look forward to, and a steady level of income for them during this difficult time.
@patriciamcl54
@patriciamcl54 2 ай бұрын
The band's main income is derived from the live shows. Failing that, I believe their financial sponsors stepped in to guarantee a basic income.
@susanhorn4325
@susanhorn4325 2 ай бұрын
Obviously the band has multiple sources of income…live shows, merch sales, album sales, streaming/digital sales, KZfaq and other social media and Patreon (which funds their videos) etc. The point of my comment was that the travel restrictions of the pandemic forced them to really change the way they did business in order to bring in income…live shows didn’t exist, traveling to Minnesota to record new music wasn’t possible, nor was getting together to film videos with professional camera crews. Them figuring out how to make music and videos remotely was what provided them with income during lockdown and Patreon was a major part of that.

I work in health care, and so I worked thru the pandemic, I was able to leave my home almost daily and was able to spend time with my coworkers and the elderly residents that I took care of. The pandemic not only took a toll on my residents and myself but also the healthcare industry as a whole. I have since retired, and am now enjoying me time.

I pastor a small congregation in Michigan so I basically work from home anyway. We have about 3 acres with the church building, fellowship hall, gazebo, garage, a couple of sheds and a parsonage where I live with my family. So I had plenty of outdoor time, fresh air and sunshine, maintaining the grounds. So there was not so great an impact on our daily living. How ever we did have to put up with wearing masks and shortages at the grocery store like everyone else.We continued to have services which we recorded and had online. We had started that long before lock down and continue to do that. We are a small congregation so we weren't affected by any restrictions. We actually picked up a family that was looking for "In person" services. I am an artist as well so I had more time to draw and paint. I believe that it was during this time that listening to music on KZfaq that I discovered Home Free and have been a Home Fry ever since. Love you guys and your reactions to Home Free.

I know what you mean about how the 🌎was so different and scary all of a sudden. I had retired from nursing in Nov. 2019 to take in my 95 yo mother to live with me. I felt guilty for leaving my fellow nurses to deal with that pandemic but thankful for being able to stay safe at home. I didn't discover HomeFree until March of 2021, but their music was what kept me sane and hopeful for the world to return to normal. I have thanked them every day for the joy and happiness they still continue to give to me and all the HomeFrys. Thank you as well for your love of HomeFree, Jillian, and Jeremy . 🍀🦋🍀🦋🍀

I guess the sound rebound explains how Austin could record in a tiny compartment that he just stuck his head into. Like a bit of drywall between studs removed and a frame put around it. Chance’s hair was longish when he was on the Sing Off. Trivia: During the outro, Austin is wearing a cast from a wreck on his one-wheeler.

I love these videos so much. Home Free feels like...Home. My immune system is compromised and I care for my elderly mother. My husband passed away during the Covid lockdown, at age 53. It was a very difficult time but Home Free helped me and still helps me deal with life. Thank you very much for the Home Free reactions. Especially, these types of videos.

I was working in a high school when the pandemic hit. As one of the office staff, I was considered to be a "key worker" and was allowed to go to work a couple of days a week. The rest of the time I worked from home. My pandemic experience was a little like Austin's - I loved being at home. Home Free's regular (often hilarious) content was one of the things that made it even better.

Great reaction! I discovered these guys during quarantine. I had just moved to a new city for my job, and immediately had to start working from home, so i didn't get to know any of my co-workers, or even my new boss, and I had left all my family and friends behind as well. And then to not be able to go anywhere, all of it made me anxious and depressed, but at least I had a job, so very grateful for that. Home Free really helped keep my spirits up by bringing me joy and laughter every day. They are such a special group of guys, so glad that you appreciate them, too.

I don't think this was filmed pre-Amberly. The band returned from Europe in March 2020, and Austin and Amberly's first fishing trip/date was beginning of April. He was keeping her under wraps a bit, not sure why. I think he wasn't sure that she wouldn't up and leave, until she (and the dogs) moved in (as so many couples did during lockdown) about 6 months later. Possibly he was concerned that trolls would give her a hard time (which they did anyway). Yes, Adam and Sami were living in LA, but moved to Long Beach after they got married. Tim and Jenika look so happy on the swing. I think that's my favourite Tim moment.

I am really enjoying reading the comments today on everyone's personal quarantine experience. Thank you Lorie for your sponsorship for today. You are awesome! I was working full-time at UPS & helping my sister in law homeschool my 2 nephews and 2 nieces. When the pandemic hit, I was able to work from home because our group was essential workers. It was a busy, crazy time but so rewarding because I got to spend a lot of time with the kids! They are the closest thing to having kids of my own, and I wouldn't trade that time for anything. Love you and thanks for the great reaction J & J!

Yes, very relatable....I had 2 older cousins who passed from covid out in Palm Desert in California (the cheaper over 55 area right next to Palm Springs) they passed in late March right near the beginning....so tough !! But I was living a very isolated life at that time so it wasn't as tough on me as others....I sometimes even before the pandemic didn't see anyone but neighbors for 2 or 3 days...so I was kinda used to the isolation.

I was the overnight person at a Subway inside a truck stop, so I was considered essential personnel. Unfortunately, I got covid in March 2020, when there was nothing really to be done. I called my doctor and he was like, "Can you breathe?" And I answered, "If I'm laying down." And he said, "Then lay down. Only go to the hospital if you stop being able to breathe." So I did. I've never recovered completely, but still went back to work as much as I could until I developed degenerative arthritis in my spine and facet arthropathy (basically arthritis in the little wings that stick out of your spinal disks), and the pain of the inflammation pressing on the nerves coming off my spine got to be too much. Home Free (and my family) has kept me sane through all this.

@@musikbyjh I take a lot of drugs to keep the pain to a tolerable level (most of the time) and keep my lungs clear and other issues under control, but I'm still here, and I have a lot of fellow Home Fries who keep me company via various Discords. The Home Fries have been the best fandom and I'm so glad a couple of them invited me to join them on their server. I truly believe Home Free has set the tone for their fandom, which is why it is so welcoming. Oh, sure, there are a few bad eggs here and there, but it's been an overwhelmingly positive experience.
