I was on the street team for the Muskabeatz release in Sweden. I got sent a bunch of posters to plaster my city with. After sending proof that I did what I was supposed to do I was to be rewarded. So I took a photo of all the locations I set posters up at with a 35 mm film camera, had the film processed (this was before digital cameras) and sent the photos to the U.S with snail mail and got a Muskabeatz t-shirt in return that I still have to this day.

This show is amazing and I love watching you guys! Thank you so much for making an episode dedicated to my favorite professional skateboarder of all time. With that said, I don’t care if Bieber or Lil Wayne wore sky tops, that in itself does not make a shoe greater because pop stars wore them. Gimme the 901s. 902s, 701s or his ‘es pro model any day over those things. They don’t even look like skate shoes, more like a sneaker that would be worn by folks who only wear Supreme 😂

When I was a kid I learned how to Ollie all thanks to muska with that tutorial video I forgot what video was that if anyone knows let me know were he explains how to Ollie for beginners. Many of the young Muska clips in the old Maple vid starting at 1:29:26 were in Las Vegas like that first pop shuvit at Circus Circus Hips, the switch flatground run at Sahara Office Park, and other random spots around UNLV on Maryland Parkway. There used to be a skatepark on Rancho and Bonanza called Rock Solid where we seen Muska, Paul Smith, and Kenny Anderson DESTROY back then. Some amazing skateboarders came up outta Vegas in that era and even earlier like Brian Lotti, Mike Chu, and Ryan Fabry. Brings back many memories.

I used to have a black dipped shortys deck with pink and green lettering. My buddy had just gotten it and didn't like it felt it was to flat for him and was about to snap it.. (rich kid from Florida whose parents bought him new boards whenever he wanted one) so I ran over before he could and handed him a 20 and skated the thing for like 6 weeks before it snapped!
