My first call to CYTZ tower (outside of the control zone) was requesting "inbound for a city tour, and then full stop landing after that". So the tower knew I would be orbiting over the downtown area before advising we were ready to land. So no - he didn't specifically instruct me to orbit, it was implied by requesting a "city tour". Just keep in mind if you were to do this today you should be at 2000ft over buttonville due to airspace changes. Don't follow this video!

@@flywiththomas Oh Okay understood. Well i flew in Miami for several years and i will be in toronto next month. i wanted to go flying around CYTZ area. Do you know any flight school that you can recommend? Perhaps you can as well take me and i will pay ya :) :). 1.Are you working on your Commercial or Flight Instructor rating? 2.Is it possible to request from Toronto Departure/Controller(Area controller term in CA i think) to do a mid-field transition through Toronto Pearson heading towards to NW direction from CYTZ or heading to SE direction to CYTZ from NW direction? 3. Are you in IG? BTW Nice videos. Just watched all of them.I like to familiarize myself with the CYTZ Toronto area a bit before I do the flight.

@@anbuchelvan2365 I'd recommend Island Air at YTZ. Just book a sightseeing flight and tell them you're a pilot, they'll more than likely let you sit left seat and take control. 1. I'm working on my commercial license 2. That would be the terminal controller. I've requested it a couple of times but always been denied. I've heard of others getting approved though so worth a shot. 3. AbFabAviation on insta enjoy toronto!
