In the history of psychedelic use, some individuals may find that their religious or spiritual beliefs are enhanced or deepened by the experience. This brings in a large wave of religious and cultural perspectives that are significant to observe and celebrate☪️✨
This month, Muslims observe Ramadan, which is a month-long period of fasting and spiritual reflection observed by many around the world. The purpose of Ramadan is multifaceted and includes several spiritual, social, and personal goals. This consists of strengthening one's relationship with God, building community, encouraging personal growth and reflection, and promoting physical and mental health.
On Instagram live, March 31st, we held a discussion with Ismail L. Ali, and Ishaq Ali, moderated by Hena Malik, that expanded on Islam and how this religion relates to the use of psychedelics and plant medicines💫
Our aim is to recognize and amplify the contributions of Muslim individuals who have enriched the industry with their unique cultural perspective.
Inclusion is essential in this growing community to ensure that all individuals have access to the potential benefits of these substances, to identify and address issues specific to certain populations, and to promote understanding and empathy across diverse groups. It is crucial to actively work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable psychedelic space.
Join us each Friday this month to continue supporting the discussion of Islam and psychedelics!
