The use of psychedelics throughout history has been known to enhance or deepen individuals' religious or spiritual beliefs, leading to a diverse range of cultural and religious perspectives that are worth acknowledging and celebrating✨🌱
During Ramadan, a month-long period of fasting and spiritual reflection observed by Muslims worldwide, individuals aim to achieve several spiritual, social, and personal goals, including strengthening their relationship with God, building community, encouraging personal growth and reflection, and promoting physical and mental health.
To expand your knowledge on Islam and its relationship with the use of psychedelics, join leading Muslims in the field on Instagram live every Friday this month from 12-12:30pm PST☪️
Last Friday as our guest speaker we had Aisha Mohammed, LMFT, who was trained as a family therapist and has worked primarily with low-income families of color, immigrants and people who use substances in community mental health and educational settings🌙
By recognizing and amplifying the contributions of Muslim individuals in the industry, we aim to promote inclusion and equity in the psychedelic community, ensuring that everyone has access to the potential benefits of these substances while addressing specific issues that may arise in certain populations.
