I only briefly rode the b1 but it seemed like a solid setup! I will say it felt a good bit more cramped though than a razor. That said, I think the b1 is a great setup out of the box where all you really have to upgrade is controller / motor and battery

did you do something to your chain tensioner? I just welded my freewheel and it feels really good but the chain tensioner is bouncing everywhere when I slow down and it sounds horrible

yup mine sounded pretty bad too, but i ran it and it was fine. That said, im about to put on an extended swingarm which will negate the need for a tensioner altogether. IMO the tensioner (even with the upgraded spring) sucks and gave me lots of problems

@@Grayrockgt the sx has a larger rear shock but they all have 10 inch wheels currently. Theres a new one bout to be released though with bigger wheels.

@@Grayrockgt the mx500 and 650 are the same but the SX500 has a higher seat height, but the MX650 and 500 have a larger front wheel

What’s up Connor, so would you say this is necessary for running an ec4p motor? I’m that guy that asked you if $480 seemed too good to be true for a 650 on Amazon and the bike just showed up after like 3 months so I’m finally ready to get my build goin haha Keep up the great work and screw that guy on his Walmart bicycle lol

This is 100% necessary if you're running the EC4p. The power of the motor will go through the freewheel in due time if you rip it pretty hard. Plus if you weld the freewheel, then you can also use regen on the EC4p. To me the freewheel being welded just makes it feel way more like an actual dirtbike and makes wheelies way more predictable

@@ConnorGMedia That makes sense. I was looking into upgrading the freewheel with a bmx one since I don’t own a welder but I think I’ll go this route now that someone’s selling welded ones. I’m learning to wheelie my grom rn so this sounds like it’ll help make the razor feel somewhat similar to that with the engine braking . My only concern with welded is the range is probably gonna go down a decent bit right? Appreciate the help!

@@luke__22 with the way I ride(in the city with stop lights) good question. I get a slightly increased range. But basically not noticeable. The big benefits are not burning through pads as fast, increased longevity for my drivetrain components, and a more controllable and predictable throttle response.
